Overpriced with good service and tasty appetizers

We went here recently for a birthday party. The draft IPA beer was $10 and a tiny glass of port for $8. A bit much. Got to sample a few appetizers, which were good. Can't say how much the food was though.

I recently arrived and am staying at the Chase Park Plaza on business. Since I hadn't had a chance to grab lunch, I decided to grab a "snack" at Cafe Eau to tide me over until dinner. The hostess was amicable and accommodating. I told her I planned to grab a bite and catch up on my reading. She seated... More

We were staying at the hotel and wanted an easy dinner. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel, but it was cold and rainy and we didn't want to go out. Our server was great. The hot pretzels are delicious. My husband had the crab toasted ravioli and devoured them. I had the veggie burger, which had a nice... More

We had a quick lunch here before heading off on a family excursion; I had the BLT salad and my husband the Margherita pizza. Service was quick and pleasant, the food very good and reasonably priced. My only complaint was that the upholstery on the banquettes is really in need of work. I think they chose a fabric that could... More

Cafe Eau usually has a crowd of handsome people, it's well decorated in a modern style in the venerable Chase Hotel in the City of St. Louis. Good staff, excellent food in a pleasant spot. All around a very nice experience, Good place to stop for lunch or dinner although I like the Tenderloin Room at the Chase better fro... More

The food was good but the service sucked! The waitress was rude and it took well over a hour to get the food even to us. Will not go back

We are in the process of selling our home; thus we had a showing at lunch time at short notice. We had not been to Cafe' Eau in a while so we decided to walk over. The Cafe is located in the historic Chase Hotel which was renovated a while back and is a huge asset to our historic neighborhood.... More

No complaints about the food, but it's a bit expensive to eat there every day. No complaints about the excellent service, though.

I would recommend sitting outside if the weather is nice. It is sooo loud inside that place. I could hardly hear myself think. We split a salad and the margarita pizza which was excellent. The wine list is pretty good (not super extensive - there was only 1 or 2 options for Pinot Noir).
