What a huge disappointment! I am not sure the last time they updated their decor but it must have been 20+ yrs ago. When we walked in there was a stench that overpowered everything. My family loves Cunetto. Simple, fresh, cooked to order pasta at very reasonable prices. We try to make it at lunch instead of dinner due to the long waits. I grew up not far from an Italian neighborhood in my hometown so I feel fairly comfortable with judging the merits of Italian restaurants. We ended up waiting about an hour for a table and though the food was good, there are alternatives on the hill that are just as good, but without the wait. If you can get in without a super-long wait, I say definitely give it a try. Try the lasagna if it's on the menu that day. more

I've been to a lot of Italian places but this one is by far my favorite. It used to be a pharmacy (way back when) and they have "Rx's" for drinks on the wall in the bar area when you first walk in. The wait is easily an hour, if not more, but we always enjoy a drink or two... more

A local took me to Cunetto's one evening. It was a great experience: the service was outstanding and the food was good and filling. The next time I visit St. Louis I plan a return trip to the Hill for some excellent Italian cusine. more

Wow. How horrible. Upon telling friends I was eating here, their only comment seemed to be "you get a lot for your money". I was disappointed by almost every part of this place. Whenever I'm in St. Louis I stop in at Cunetto's. Everything has always been perfect at each trip. One thing though no free refills on soft drinks...lesson learned when my teenage son drank 12 dollars worth of coke one time...so stick to the iced tea. more
