Old world feel, huge portions, not inexpensive

If you're looking for atmosphere and old world charm and would prefer to skip trendy or neuvo italian, then this is a good place. I was craving red sauce so I went with chicken parm. It was a good size portion although the bread kept falling off the chicken. The dinner salad was a nice addition, nothing fancy. Side of pasta was shells, nice surprise. I believe the sauce on the noodles was different than sauce on chicken. The noodles or sauce weren't hot,... More

Favazza's never disappoints. I dined there Saturday evening and although the place was hopping the service didn't suffer at all, the mark of a great place, no matter how busy they are you feel as if you the top priority. I ordered the pasta special- Pasta with Grilled chicken, Sun-dried tomatoes and asparagus- prepared excellently with the right amount of... More

We go as a family each year to a restaurant where we have not eaten. This year was Favazza's and all were very pleased with the choice. The restaurant was very busy because of the holiday season but service was excellant. We had the Spaghetti Pomodoro, Parmesan Chicken, Chicken Sicilian and Linguine Pescatore. All were very good with servings so... More

My former boss, an Italian who grew up in The Hill neighborhood in St. Louis, has always told me that Favazza's was the place to choose for Italian, so I took the bus from downtown to get there. It was well worth it. You start with a simple but great chopped salad, then choose from a wide variety of entrees.... More

Mike and Kathy are a delight to see each time I've visited. I generally come with friends and we've always been warmly welcomed, treated as guests, and fed so well. The choices are varied from the creative to the predictable, from the standards to delightful specials, and the service delivers, literally and figuratively. I was recently there for a wine... More

We had a lovely evening with good service and traditional italian food for our small conference. The atmoshpere was jovial and the ambiance was pleasant and made everyone feel at home. A delightful evening was delivered by Favazza's. The parking is a bit challenging.

We had a tour around the Hill area by someone from the neighbourhood. Before this tour started we could follow this guy to a place for lunch or search a place by our self. Because I think it's always good to listen to locals I decided to follow. He took us to Favazza's. Although this restaurant didn't knew that we... More

We arrived at 5:30 on a Saturday night - had a 20 minute wait to find empty tables in the dining room - was told that the kitchen was busy with a party. I would have been happier being seated, explained the situation and maybe be offered an opportunity to order an appetizer while the kitchen served the party. Great... More

Best seafood dish I've ever had & it's a very large serving. You will need a doggy bag.I go there all the time and never get tired of the sole piccata but I try different dishes from time to time and never had a bad meal.
