Bacon what else can you say!

Had the BLT and I knew it would be huge but I did not imagine what it would actually be, it is massive. A full 4-5 inches thick with tomato and bacon. There is no getting my mouth around it. I ended up rebuilding it only using about 1/5 of the bacon and I will take the rest home to... read more

The BLT's are huge - almost a pound of bacon in each sandwich. The ratio of bacon to tomato & lettuce may be a little off, but if you are a meat lover - you have ordered the right sandwich! Split this sandwich with your date and each order a malt or shake. You will have plenty to eat! Can't... More

My wife and I will typically visit the historic Crown Candy Kitchen just a few times a year. Due to it's small size quite often there's a long line to get in. This restaurant serves the best ice cream and milk shakes in the city. It's worth the wait and we realize the value of the history of it's location,... More

You may have to wait to get a table but it will be worth it. I knew of this place mainly from Man vs Food and the 5 shake challenge but after visiting several times and as great as the shakes are, I have to say that I find myself craving the egg salad sandwich more than anything else. Fun... More

The food is plentiful at Crown Candy Kitchen. My favorite is the BLT, which is large enough to share. Homemade ice cream is delicious. Don't miss the malts made with their homemade ice cream. They also have delicious chocolates made with a recipe handed down for several generations. Lines form for their candy at Valentine's Day and Easter. In fact,... More

What a fine example of what a great restaurant should be. Go there, get there early so the line isn't too bad, and completely be amazed in how incredible the food is. Treat yourself to a shake or malt and be blown away by the taste. Love this place!!!

There is a constant line to get into the small quaint restaurant however it is well worth the wait! Had turkey bacon sandwich and chocolate shake. AMAZING!! Definitely recommend going.

After having a BLT at Crown Candy, I won't order one anywhere else. Save room for a sundae...it's the best!

This place is the real deal. Everything is delicious. The massive BLT is worth the trip, but the shakes seal the deal. Advise that you go for an early lunch otherwise the line will be long. But even if you have to wait, it is still worth it.

Enough said, right? I had been for dessert, but finally returned for the main course. Of course I had seen the Heart Stopping BLT in its appearances on the Food Network/Travel Channel, but it's a different beast in person. Nearly a pound (or at least it seems that way) of kettle fried bacon served on white toast with Miracle Whip... More
