The pictures are very accurate, and looks like the size of the meals guarantees a full stomach and a take away box. Quality of food was good and brought back the classic ice cream soda feeling. Prices reasonable

Visited while on Spring Break. No crowd. No line. Must have been our lucky day. The BLT and Reuben were both great. So much bacon, it was falling off the sandwich. Chocolate malt and sundae were great also. This place also has a malt challenge.. if you can drink 5 in 30 mins, they are free and you earn a... More

My wife and I decided to get away for a few days in February. Our first stop was for an early lunch in St. Louis. I had selected the Crown Candy Kitchen - a place we visited on one earlier occasion in the 1990s. This place is like stepping back into your childhood - that is if you are at... More

Read the reviews and thought we had to try this place while in Spring Break. We were not as impressed as everyone else was. The best part of dining at this restaurant were the shakes. I will not be returning to eat the food besides I found it to be slightly overpriced, the staff were very friendly. The Jamaican guy... More

Spent the day with the husband at work. A co-worker decided a huge bacon sandwich was what sounded good for lunch. This was my first time trying it and ordered the heart stopping BLT. It was sooo delicious. I couldn't even eat it all. If it tasted that good for a pick up order I can only imagine the heavenly... More

Wow, wow, wow- this was so awesome! We all had malts (could have ordered 2 between the 4 of us but what fun would that be)? The BLT had so much bacon on it, it could have fed a whole football team for breakfast. The Reuben was delicious and the kids loved their roast beef/cheddar and ham& cheese sandwiches too.

The atmosphere is awesome. It;'s like stepping back into time. The menu is very traditional, with a large variety. Worth the wait, because the lines are always long. Get some candy to take home!!

I first enjoyed Crown Candy in 1950, and have made it a special place for out of town visitors for many years. Our order is always a BLT, which comes with 15 to 17 slices of bacon, and a Chocolate Milk Shake, which comes with the mixing can holding the second large glass. The shake is thick and creamy. We... The best egg salad and BLT sandwiches in the world. The atmosphere isn't just like an old soda fountain, it IS an original old soda fountain. Everything is great. Malts and shakes made by hand and their handmade candies are wonderful. You have to wait in line but it is definitely worth it. Valentines Day, Easter and Christmas specialty candies... More

It's a must visit in St Louis! Classic soda fountain -some of the best Chocolate milk shakes and malts ever made! Wonderful handmade chocolate -the place to go at Easter for your Chocolate Bunny! Love the peanut butter cups too! The BLT"s are Classic! It's a small place so be prepared to wait on a Saturday, but the crowd moves... More
