The travelers better hurry and see this place before it is gone. We called today on a sunday to see what time this place closed and all we received was a recording that says, the hours open thru the week and closed on Sunday , i thought Ice cream places do good business on Sunday's The descendant in charge now... There are two separate lines, the seating inside is small, but cute. Iconic. Plenty of seating across the street. Two lines, one for inside, one to go - the line to go was definitely the longer one, but they really move behind the counter. This one is worth the time it takes to find it.

This place to me is seriously overrated. First off, it is a tiny hole in the wall so expect to wait at least 15 minutes before being seated and you can't sit down while you wait; you have to wait in a line. Second, try your best to not use their restroom! It is is this backroom that is absolutely... More

This will forever be on my must stop list when visiting St. Louis from now on. The Heart Stopping BLT that my husband had was huge and amazing. I had the Turkey, bacon sandwich, and my daughter had the egg salad. OMGosh, they were all amazing! And HUGE! You can't believe the size of these things. We each had shakes... More

I was out of the country for a year and asked my in laws if they would like to stop by Crown Candy for a BLT. We had one. It is nearly impossible to eat this sandwich without picking off some bacon first as there is a full pound on one sandwich. It was great.

This is definitely a place to visit if you have a sweet tooth or if you like a good BLT! The BLT is known at the "Heart Stopping BLT" and most people find that they can share the BLT sandwich because it is so large. Another good item on the menu is the chili which comes with cheese & onions... More

So really how often should you order and eat one pound of bacon? We had a 45 minute wait. Good street music entertainment. Shake was great, as was my one pound of bacon. Not a healthy thing in sight. Sometimes you just have to binge and this place helps. The candy is very good. The atmosphere is unique. You'll spend... More

Typical dinner inspired menu, but outstanding tastes. Go for two things...the BLT and a malt. And make sure you watch them. Just seeing them whip out the malts and shakes is something to be impressed by...almost as impressive as the pile of bacon on the BLT. Worth every calorie! Expect a wait, but you'll be glad you did. Loved that... More

My mom and I made a side trip to this place after finding out there sandwiches were featured on the travel channel. We got a roast beef sandwich and a BLT and two chocolate malt shakes. First off, it was well worth the wait in line, the malts were light and fluffy and a great chocolate creamy taste. Best we... More

I've lived in St. Louis all of my 60 years and just this summer went TWICE to Crown Candy Kitchen! They open at 10:30am and the line starts then...so be prepared to wait. Crown only holds about 50 people but the crowd turns over pretty quickly. As far as the food...large portions! I've had the BLT which has almost a... More
