After spending several hours at the City Museum, we stopped in for some ice cream. Single scoops are around $2.80. Milkshakes are about $5. Good, but not outstanding ice cream. Something to check out, though. As a prior reviewer notes, if you are just going for ice cream, go right up to the counter - don't wait in line for... More

Tried the sandwich and shakes which were good and the portions were huge. The price is very affordable too. They also sell well packed chocolates for gifting purpose. I would recommend going there in day light than in the evening. I went with friends so didn't feel unsafe but have heard that safety may be a concern in the area... More

We waited in line outside and then once inside found out there is a separate "to go" line if you want to dine outside or take your ice cream to go. Of course, everyone waited to eat in and we walked right up to the "to do" counter once we found it. We were pleased with the selection of malt... More

Our son saw this place on Man v. Food so we decided to go there one evening during our recent trip to St. Louis. Thank goodness we had a GPS. This is not a neighborhood an out-of-towner wants to get lost in at night. The food and ambiance might be good as others have mentioned, but we all looked at... More

This is not a big place by any means, but the quaintness of this old candy kitchen can't be beat. The carry out service was pretty quick, and we opted for a traditional grilled cheese sandwich and a Johnny Rabbit shake . The Johnny Rabbit is a fresh banana shake, complete with whipped cream and nuts. Oh my! This was... More

What a wonderful treat for Father's Day. Sundaes are large. Lots of nuts. Friendly staff. If you like eating outside, don't wait in line. Just go in and order to go. Sketchy neighborhood, so go during the day.

I visited this tiny restaurant in downtown STL after seeing it on the Travel Channel. It was better than advertised. Since I don't like crowds, we went on a Sunday afternoon at 2:30, on what was a pretty rainy day. The line was still long enough for us to have to wait 35 minutes just to get to a table.... More

Went to Crown Candy Kitchen for lunch last week, and it was truly brilliant. My boyfriend and I arrived around 2:00pm in hopes of missing the lunchtime crowd, and were lucky to be sat within about 5 minutes of arrival. In order to get a taste of everything Crown Candy had to offer, we opted to split a chocolate milk... More

It is tiny but big on flavor. You will probably have to wait in line, but it is worth it. The BLT is the bomb. It has enough bacon to feed at least 4 other people and is only $9.00. You must get some ice cream which is homemade. I got the Fire Chief Special, way worth the calories. Homemade... More

Nothing fancy here but the food is fantastic. Expect a wait but it is well worth it and you won't leave hungry. Sandwiches are great. Homemade ice cream and chocolates are to die for!!! The staff is very friendly and the service was very good.
