Fun Place!

A fun place with traditional Irish favorites. Food was really good and place got busy fast on a Friday. They do take reservations for bigger parties. Outside area, although it was raining when I was there.

We had read an article from Feast Magazine that claimed McGurk's was one of the top 12 patios in St. Louis, MO, we just so happened to be in the area on a beautiful spring day and McGurk's did not disappoint! We ordered the spinach artichoke toasted ravioli and homemade chips. Both were delicious and nice portion sizes. There are... More

First time at McGurk's was for the brunch and Tionol - Irish music jam sessions. Wonderful. A bargain! Buffet was diverse, well prepared, classy, and plentiful without being fussy. A beverage was included. Outside courtyard is charming. Multiple bars inside and out. Musicians were tucked in corners and we moved from one group to the next. Great time! We will... More

We stopped in here with friends, based on recommendations from our valet (James from Omni Majestic Hotel). This place is great! It has the best Irish foods, desserts, and atmosphere. I had the Irish stew. It came in an round, eatable, sourdough, bread bowl. Delicious!! I had a chocolate dessert afterwards which about chocolate overdosed me. Heaven! My wife and... More

This place is huge with lots of separate areas to sit, both inside and out. I've visited several times now including on St Patrick's day and it is great. The music is authentic without being hokey or stale. The Guinness is poured properly and the wings are delicious. A must go place when in Dt Louis.

Stopped by for early Sunday dinner and drinks and was certainly not disappointed by the selection of food and beverages on offer. Was like stopping back in time to an olde-wordly style pub in the Irish countryside. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Food was fresh and well prepared. Certainly worth a visit.

Visited on a Thursday night around 7 p.m. and were seated immediately but in the bar area which was fine for most of our party but my 79 year old mother would have preferred the dining area-little quieter and we were seated on backless bar stools-not really the hostess' fault-our college age girls got there first and obtained the table.... We were planning to eat at Tucker's Place steakhouse just down the block, but they were full so we came to McGurk's instead. Good choice! It's a pub-like atmosphere inside with exposed brick and dark wood, and the expansive beer garden outside with its fountains reminded us of Pat O'Brien's in New Orleans, which we had visited six weeks earlier.... My husband ordered the McGurk's cheeseburger and it was "the best burger" he said he can ever remember. It is served with their own home-made chips. I had a small Caesar Salad that was very cold and tasty. This Irish pub has an outdoor beer garden and is the perfect place to come for lunch or dinner.

Just returned from late afternoon lunch. The restaurant and and several bar areas were very busy so we were happy to get a table in the comfortable enclosed outdoor seating area (plastic sheeting walls). Service was great for drinks (Guiness and Smithwick's) and food. The corned beef sandwich and chips were excellent. There were several Irish plates also available. The... More
