Great for Lunch but avoid the Bar hoppers

Okay. This is a great place. Food is top notch. Ambiance is fabulous. Drink menu is fun and features their house beer. The outdoor patio is gorgeous during the warm season. McGuirks's is a uniquely authentic Irish pub in the middle of French Soulard. They have been in the area for years and... read more

Came here for lunch with my family. This place is a St. Louis staple I'm told. It's huge- plenty of inside and outside seating. It was pouring the day we went so no one was outside, even though it was covered. I had a salad and the potato soup- it was so freaking good! I also tried a bite of... More

Had dinner here in late December on a cold night. The hostess tried to seat us in the covered garden area - she said it was very warm but NOT....the hostesses in that section are walking around with big coats. Had dinner in the dining room - the Beef Tenderloin Medallions and the Ribeye steak. Also had the scallop appetizer.... More

Enjoyed my meal while visiting family that lived in the area. Place gets very busy, especially on weekends. And is rather loud inside. Has this great outdoor patio. Worth a visit! I also ordered take out one night. Good food!

Came with a large group and were seen quickly by our server who took drink orders. After drinks came we had to wait a bit too long to have our orders taken and the food came out a bit later than expected even for the large group. The food was good with only one mistake with everyone's orders. Once everyone... More

We came here before a Muny show this past summer. I've eaten here many times and food quality is always consistently good. It's a great place for lunch or dinner when the weather allows you to sit outside. I find the inside seating dark and a little bit gloomy.

Don't leave without trying the Beggar's Purse--awesome. Need to give a 15 minute heads up so it is ready--inside or outside a great place

We stopped here before a hockey game with friends. The weather was beautiful so it was great sitting outside. The server seemed stressed and actually said, "sorry we are understaffed". The large beer selection as you would expect at an Irish pub. The food was great as were the desserts. I recommend staying with the Irish fare as the corned... More

We had a group of 12. Reservations at 6. We sat promptly at 6. At 620 we saw our server for the first time. We thought we better order both appetizers and entrees. I had onion rings for the appetizer and fish and chips for an entree. While they were advertised as homemade, the onion rings looked a lot like... More

On a recommendation from a colleague a group of us went to eat here. On arrival the colleague concerned said the garden was busy so we sat inside in the very nice pub close to the stage with excellent music, service and great food. Before we left, it was suggested that we took a look in the garden and duly... More
