Had dinner at this Irish Pub and was somewhat disappointed. We dinned inside and perhaps that was a mistake as the people dinning on the patio seem more pleased with this restaurant. The inside was fine as far as the restaurant goes. The food was average at best. One of us had the fish and chips which come with homemade... More

Two separate occasions here. Had a Guinness stew and a Guinness while my friend had a ribeye. Both scrumptious and service was excellent. Came back for some night life drinks – good people; and drinks to be had. Impressive tarp garden and useful as it rained most of that evening.

Great place....and then you see the garden!!! Yay!! We were visiting the area and had no idea where to go...we picked McGurk's to 'regroup' and decide where to go. We walked in the door and noticed they were set up for live music. After having a drink we decided to 'look around' in the bar...little did we know that they... More

My parents love the outdoor garden dining area here, so of course, this is where we celebrated my mom's birthday. The corned beef was superb, and the cheeseburgers were grilled to perfection!

Nice selection on menu at reasonable prices. I had an excellent Reuben and Guinness stew. Service was friendly and on the spot. Would definitely go back if the opportunity presents itself again.

We had a group of 16 ladies (Ages 50-80) from our church dine at McGurk's outdoor patio Saturday at 11:30 a.m. (They took reservations which was a big reason that we chose to eat there!) It was the first visit for many of the group, and all loved the beautiful, shaded area. We could see and hear the waterfall and... More

What a tranquil, inviting patio. it's big with flowers and fountains everywhere. Great atmosphere. Food was very good. Fish and chips were delicious, especially with the homemade tartar sauce. My wife's burger was cooked perfectly. Another place we'll definitely return to.

For fair weather diners, McGurk's has absolutely one of the best patios in Soulard. All the food is good, at least a notch above most pub fare. And their music acts, many from Ireland, are exceptional.

John D. McGurk's was the perfect spot for our recent wedding rehearsal dinner. The Patriot room was the perfect size for our group of 45, and had a welcoming, traditional Irish pub atmosphere. The service was perfect, and the buffet dinner was positively delicious. The roasted pork loin was a standout. Afterwards, the Irish traditional music band kept the party... More

Great music is always available at this bar. Really nice outdoor area but I haven't tried the food but right next door is Tuckers for great steak at good prices.
