I really enjoyed the ribs at Bogart's Smokehouse; however, the baked beans and beef brisket were certainly not the best I've had and left something to be desired. The baked beans tasted like something from out of a can. The beef brisket was seasoned like it was meant to be a cold-cut similar to corned beef or pastrami or cooked... More

The line was long...we didn't care...it moved fast. None of the three of us had ever been here, but little did we realize we were in for a treat! The Ritz it is not...so if you want prissy and fancy and uppity, go somewhere else. The food is delicious! You walk up to the counter in a crowded area...you order...you... More

Personally I found the beef Brisket here juicy and tender compared to the other BBQ places in St.Louis.

After learning that Bogart's is from the same folks that brought us Pappy's, I had to try it out. I was not as impressed as Pappy's, but the quality of the BBQ was very good. The dining area is quite small and cozy, but the turnaround time is acceptable, so the wait times are acceptable too.

St. Louis. BBQ. There are certain cities that go together with BBQ like Kansas City, Memphis and most of Texas. But the best pork ribs may well be the Memphis style preparation of the St. Louis cut ribs. Pappy's Smokehouse in STL is far and away the most famous of their great BBQ joints and it is an experience. The... More

Three of us, while on a business trip, stopped at Bogart for lunch. We were very pleased, had pulled pork, beef brisket and pork plate. All were very good and there are sauce options at the table. The serving size is large. Be sure to try their sides - we had baked beans, slaw and fries. All of the sides are... More

I've had ribs from most of the bbq places in St. Louis. And we have some great bbq here. I've had ribs at SugarFire, Pappy's, and several others. But this past weekend I got a slab of baby backs from Bogarts, to go, and brought them home. In my humble opinion, Bogart's is Kind of the Ribs in this town.... More

We regularly go to Soulard Market and have noticed the crowds waiting to get into Bogart's, so we finally decided we needed to try it. It's an excellent restaurant for ribs, though we'll admit Pappy's is still our favorite. The whole staff had an upbeat and fun attitude, and the food is delicious and priced like similar places in town.... More

Great ribs and other assorted fixins litter the menu in this tiny little gem just outside of downtown. Hours/seats are "flexible" pending what they have left so don't mess around an get there asap to enjoy!!
