This is a perfect little road house bbq. It is quick, easy, (I obviously turned up at a good time) amazingly tasty and has friendly staff. What else do you need from a BBQ joint!

The bbq here is so bodacious that people can stand in line for 1-3 hours just to place their orders. Burnt ends??? I don't eat anything burnt!! You want me to order WHAT?? When I see something that sounds ridiculous, I'll try it ..... at least once ...... soooo.... 'burnt ends' salad ..... beautiful mixed greens (not just iceberg lettuce,... More

Rating BBQ is tough as everyone has their own opinion on what good BBQ is. Bogarts is a small little place that the locals go for BBQ. We had ribs, pulled pork, coleslaw, and devil egg potato salad. The ribs where tasty as the meat pulled right off. The pulled pork wasn't dried out which I think makes good BBQ.... More

I really enjoyed the ribs at Bogart's Smokehouse; however, the baked beans and beef brisket were certainly not the best I've had and left something to be desired. The baked beans tasted like something from out of a can. The beef brisket was seasoned like it was meant to be a cold-cut similar to corned beef or pastrami or cooked... More

The line was long...we didn't care...it moved fast. None of the three of us had ever been here, but little did we realize we were in for a treat! The Ritz it is not...so if you want prissy and fancy and uppity, go somewhere else. The food is delicious! You walk up to the counter in a crowded area...you order...you... More

Personally I found the beef Brisket here juicy and tender compared to the other BBQ places in St.Louis.

After learning that Bogart's is from the same folks that brought us Pappy's, I had to try it out. I was not as impressed as Pappy's, but the quality of the BBQ was very good. The dining area is quite small and cozy, but the turnaround time is acceptable, so the wait times are acceptable too.

St. Louis. BBQ. There are certain cities that go together with BBQ like Kansas City, Memphis and most of Texas. But the best pork ribs may well be the Memphis style preparation of the St. Louis cut ribs. Pappy's Smokehouse in STL is far and away the most famous of their great BBQ joints and it is an experience. The... More

Three of us, while on a business trip, stopped at Bogart for lunch. We were very pleased, had pulled pork, beef brisket and pork plate. All were very good and there are sauce options at the table. The serving size is large. Be sure to try their sides - we had baked beans, slaw and fries. All of the sides are... More
