An Excellent Local Dining Experience

This is a great local place with excellent food and service. The Beef Tartare is like a drug..once you take a bite you cannot quit eating it! Everyone seems to order the trout and it is for a great reason! It is excellent and very different than you will expect. The desserts are great and the... read more

The Brasserie was recommended by 2 people and within walking distance of our hotel on a lovely spring evening. The pike quenelles were a new experience and had a delicious delicate flavor. The chicken was also very good but predictable. We would have enjoyed our meal more if there had not been two large tables of boisterous diners nearby making... More

An informal French style Brasserie in a great part of town, Brasserie Niche is a great place to meet, drink and eat. The service was friendly, efficient and helpful. I’d recommend the daily special as a best value. The fresh mixed lettuce salad with goat cheese was a great way to start. The trout, fingerling potatoes in a lemon browned... More

Went here on a business dinner and was impressed. The outside is very inviting and has that French sidewalk cafe feel. Server was friendly and attentive, food was well presented and tasty. Will return in the future.

This was my second time visiting Brasserie by Niche, happened to stop in about two years ago and remember having a memorable meal. We stopped in first thing on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately, the Saturday crowd doesn't seem to arrive until 11-12 or so. I have a thing for French Toast and order it for brunch most... More

We normally love Brasserie but this visit wasn't great. Our service was outstanding as usual and our drinks and food came quickly and properly spaced. Perhaps it was the quenelles that just didn't hit too well, do, anyway, the good was a little off.

We ate there last night. Each of us had one of their specialty cocktails and both were terrific. We also both chose the Potato-leek soup and the Pike Quenelles. Soup was flavorful and amazingly smooth. One does not encounter quenelles her very often and they were really great - smooth, silky fish 'dumplings' (I think), bathed in delicious lobster sauce.... Finally was able to get to Saint Louis and try Brasserire by Niche and boy was it worth the wait. Upon entering the restaurant you are instantly inside the small intimate bar area...which if pressed you can eat there and the dining room was full and bustling. Looking around at the patrons, it was evident they all were having a... More

Brasserie is one of my favorite restaurants in St. Louis! Every time I've been, the food and service have been exceptional. I highly recommend making reservations ahead of time, as walking in might mean a long wait. My favorites are the chicken liver terrine, goat cheese tart, and the bouillabaisse.

Third time to dine here. I love it. It looks and feels like a French Bistro with nicer wait staff!! The chicken cooked in a skillet is melt in your mouth. The wine list is all French. The chocolate sauce on the ice cream for dessert is divine. Enjoy.
