Bistro with nice atmosphere and good foods

Familiar type of French bistro near Chase Park Plaza where we stayed visiting colleges. Excellent charcuterie for appetizer (large cutting board enough for 3 people). Had the trout and it was well seasoned and delicious. My son had the mussels which was ok not the best we have had. The... read more

You will feel like you are eating at a Bistro in France. Great French Onion Soup and everyone loved their entrees: a roasted chicken, a trout dish, and a walleye quenelle. Great service and great surroundings.

A little crowded, but the service was excellent, the food delicious with a nice selection, and the chef even gave us a sample dessert and lemon curd. The lemon curd is to die for.

My wife and I and a couple from England had dinner at Brasserie in the last week of December 2015. The place was packed but we were able to get a reservation on the same day. It was a bit noisy (why can't restaurants be quieter for conversations?) but it was still an enjoyable dinner. Overall the food was varied... More

Wonderful evening, great drink and food selections. Several of us eat gluten free and the server was well educated and helped us make safe selections, has the steak frites, substituted carrots for the frites, which are coated in flour and not safe. About the best carrots I have had, the are done with a little mint. My wife had trout,... More

6 of us had brunch there today. 3 couples, good friends for 50 years. And we enjoyed ourselves completely. The service was outstanding... friendly, welcoming, smiles, helpful. The eggs benedict and the omelet were perfect. Plenty of filled coffee cups. A terrific ambience, everyone having a good time, a cheerful, family feel to the place. Outside it was cold and... More

Food is still excellent, but $25 for a dozen or fewer mussels, and no side dishes is over the top. If you're going to be authentic French, at least throw in a few pommes frites. Salad was similarly small & overpriced. My wife's comment afterward was maybe chef/owner Gerard Craft is getting to be "a little too big for his... More

What a great place. Jo, the manager is a keeper as far as employees go. Always attentive, always smiling. Have eaten hear several times but never left a review. The food is amazing but don't order the chicken! it was succulent and mouthwatering, comes with mushrooms perfectly cooked. However it is tooooooo much. As an English visitor I a not... More

We always love to dine at the Brasserie by Niche in St. Louis's Central West End, when we're visiting with family in St. Louis! The menu features a very appealing selection of salads and appetizers, and while the offering of entrees may not be as extensive as one might find in many restaurants, we've always been able to find easily...
