Lunch with former co-workers

Got here a little before they opened at 11 to find out we didn't have reservations. We knew we'd have at least 7 but maybe more. We ended up with 13 and they managed to sit us all together. Lunch was good but a little pricey for the amount of food that you get. Both hubby and I got the... read more

I guess I should have read the other reviews before deciding to have dinner at the Triumph Grill. The food was ok, but a bit over priced. After all the dinner plates were cleared part of the group was still drinking their drinks and the server decided to bring our checks and not ask if we wanted another drink. The... More

I went with a group. I was happy with my salad, but our waiter was terribly slow. He brought bread rolls out but not enough so we could each have one. Then he did not bring small plates for the bread and we had to ask for them. One of the girls ask for a drink and he never brought... More

During my stay at the Hotel Ignacio, I enjoyed a breakfast and a light dinner at the Triumph Grill. Both were very well prepared and tasty. For breakfast, I had a large bowl of oatmeal and a side of Canadian bacon. Basic, yes, but the oatmeal was served with additional garnishes - brown sugar, cream (originally skim milk (ugh), and... I come to St. Louis about 10 weekends a year for business and pleasure. I eat at triumph grill 3-4 times a year, always at lunch, and have had a really solid dining experience. The food has been consistently good, served promptly and well executed. There are quite a few options for lunch and then they have the soup/sandwich or... More

I have been to Triumph a great many times, for the most part, the food has been good, but Friday night was a night from Hell. I had a reservation. I got there, on time, and the hostess seemed to be having a hard time finding someplace to sit me. So they gave me the four top next to the... More

Arrived here on a late Thurs night with a colleague. There was like a staff of 15 and we were the only customers. Don't know how they stay in business. Good burgers to choose from - like all grass fed beef and buffalo. Good selection of beers. They must have busier days. I would return.

Although the food was good, the service was lacking. A few friends and I went for lunch mid afternoon on a Saturday. Although there were only about 12-15 diners present( 3 of those were at the bar) in a restaurant that has dozens of tables, it took 10 mins for a hostess to acknowledge us, another 5 minutes to seat... I was staying at Hotel Ignacio (attached to the restaurant) over a long weekend in St. Louis. I ate brunch on a Saturday morning at about 10:00 AM. I had the huevos rancheros, and was not disappointed. The portion was large, and everything tasted fresh. Can't complain at all. I followed up at the bar later that evening for a... More

From Last year's thanksgiving buffet i see some decline in the overall taste and quality of food and this time it was certainly not worth the price of the buffet that is was the last time However with that being said the service is excellent and the atmosphere is great. Right after your meal you have the opportunity to check... More
