There is a well known restaurant on Grand down the street from Basil Spice..pass on that one...it smells like a sewer the minute you walk in? Basil Spice is really good and without the long wait.. I love the Phad Thai and My husband changes it up every time we go in..the people are friendly and smile... a lot..we went... More

Great Thai food and can't go wrong eating in or getting takeout. My roommates and I have been frequent diners at this restaurant. We usually go for dinner and entrees are very reasonably priced. We always have a wonderful time here and always enjoy the entrees we get!

We eat here often because they are kid friendly, reasonably priced and the food is consistantly good. My son loves the fried tofu and sticky rice!

Their pad thai and pad see ieu are good (especially the pad see ieu), and prices are all around $9 I think it is for a good sized meal. Sometimes the restaurant is a little cold in the winter and I've had to leave my coat on, but not too too bad. The decor is interesting, but it is nice... More

Previous reviews were right on! Pad Khing Chicken & Pad Basil chicken with spice level at 3 & 4 were excellent meals. The rice soaked up the juices and the last to drive down the throat. Waitress was very sweet and explained it all to us. Couldn't have eaten another bite we were so stuffed. We'll return! ! !

I agree with a couple of reviewers that mentioned the restaurant being cold. It was about 15 degrees outside so I was wishing it had been warmer. But ordering hot tea did the trick for me. They brought the hot water and a small container with a variety of 'stash'' brand teas which I like. I ordered two appetizers; the... More

I have been here on three occasions and have tried different dishes each time. This is as close to eating in Bangkok as you can get in St. Louis. It's waht you'd fine when invited to eat with a Thai family. The portions are sizeable, the flavors outstanding and the spices are just right. I highly recommend this restaurant for... More

I've been to most of the local St. Louis Thai restaurants and while some of the others may have a nicer decor and most of them have decent food, none of them has a combination of food and service that compares with Basil Spice. My family and I have been frequent diners at this restaurant for several years. We love... More

This was such a good all-around experience. It wasn't busy during the weekday lunch hour I was there & my service was surprisingly fast. The server explained very clearly how to get just the right amount of spice in my green curry, and it was spot on when it was served just a few minutes later. All the ingredients were... More

Food was great! Great service and it wasn't too expensive. Most of the food's names on the menu was in the native language, so I couldn't remember what I ordered... hahaha! But seriously good stuff! Will definitely be back there again!
