Worst tom-yum soup ever!

This is not the first time I visited this restaurant, however it is my first time trying their soup. Me and my mom ordered a large size tom yum kung soup and beef salad. It is the worst tom yum ever. It was luke warm and tasted almost like fish sauce straight out of the bottle. Nasty! For almost... read more

Ordered pad kee mao and as far the usual taste with lots of Thai basil it tasted like super bland stir fry Chinese noodle dish. I wanted kee mao with fresh tons of basil and I ordered it thai hot not wimpy hot! Also ordered pad Thai and barely tasted tamarind or paprika in the dish. I'm so bent about... More

The food was not bad but it was not outstanding either. I ordered a very average Thai dish, Pad Thai with shrimp, that I love and order a lot when I go to Thai restaurants. This dish was made with very thin, spaghetti like rice noodles. I have usually had this prepared with a wider rice noodle?? The flavor was... More

There is a well known restaurant on Grand down the street from Basil Spice..pass on that one...it smells like a sewer the minute you walk in? Basil Spice is really good and without the long wait.. I love the Phad Thai and My husband changes it up every time we go in..the people are friendly and smile... a lot..we went... More

Great Thai food and can't go wrong eating in or getting takeout. My roommates and I have been frequent diners at this restaurant. We usually go for dinner and entrees are very reasonably priced. We always have a wonderful time here and always enjoy the entrees we get!

We eat here often because they are kid friendly, reasonably priced and the food is consistantly good. My son loves the fried tofu and sticky rice!

Their pad thai and pad see ieu are good (especially the pad see ieu), and prices are all around $9 I think it is for a good sized meal. Sometimes the restaurant is a little cold in the winter and I've had to leave my coat on, but not too too bad. The decor is interesting, but it is nice... More

Previous reviews were right on! Pad Khing Chicken & Pad Basil chicken with spice level at 3 & 4 were excellent meals. The rice soaked up the juices and the last to drive down the throat. Waitress was very sweet and explained it all to us. Couldn't have eaten another bite we were so stuffed. We'll return! ! !

I agree with a couple of reviewers that mentioned the restaurant being cold. It was about 15 degrees outside so I was wishing it had been warmer. But ordering hot tea did the trick for me. They brought the hot water and a small container with a variety of 'stash'' brand teas which I like. I ordered two appetizers; the... More

I have been here on three occasions and have tried different dishes each time. This is as close to eating in Bangkok as you can get in St. Louis. It's waht you'd fine when invited to eat with a Thai family. The portions are sizeable, the flavors outstanding and the spices are just right. I highly recommend this restaurant for... More
