Great Place, great owner, great food! Quaint and perfect. Yes the portions were not "restaurant size" but they are not supposed to be in a tea house. Perfect for the town. We have only lived in Saint Joseph for four months, and this has made my list of must do's for my visitors.

Drove from Kansas City to try this restaurant, which was rated very high. I just about froze - it was so cold inside. They should have at least put a space heater in the dining area for 30 minutes prior to opening! My daughter wore her coat the entire meal. The tomato soup was fabulous, complimentary scones with lemon curd... More

The scone was great but delivery of food after we placed the order was very slow. Woman told us she was doing it all herself. Food was good but left us wanting bigger portion sizes. Choices are very limited. A little over priced for the amount of time it took & amount of food we received. Decor wasn't anything special.... More

Scones and lemon curd was awesome! My wife enjoyed the Mandarin chicken salad and what she called "heavenly" chilled strawberry soup. I had a delicious pork loin. We shared a slice of caramel drizzled cheesecake. We will definitely eat here again next time we're in town.

If you are looking for something different from the chain, run of the mill kind of place, this is it! Great little restaurant. The food is excellent and served in a distinguished/classic setting of an older home with all of the decor of your Grammys.

This is a favorite go-to place for lunch! Great food, lovely decor, & wonderful service. Love to take new people & have Pat share with them how she happened to move to St Joseph & to share the process of rehabbing the house. A special surprise is the beautiful garden area in the back! While reservations are accepted, the are... More

I loved the architecture of the tea house. I like things from the Victorian era. We had lunch with a large pot of Lady Grey tea. They brought us a couple of scones with Lemon curd. They were quite delicious. I had the chicken salad on a croissant and my friend had the Rosemary crusted pork loin. Both were excellent.... More

The owner/operator has a family recipe for scones and lemon curd - the best ever! We had the mandarin chicken salad with vegetarian vegetable soup. The ingredients were fresh and beautifully presented. Many kinds of tea are available here and a special recipe lemonade. You will enjoy the charming furnishings as well as the food.

The owner could use more help. She was short-handed when we got there, and two days later when my sister went for lunch. The food and tea are fabulous. The chilled strawberry soup is to die for! The house is gorgeous and filled with beautiful antiques. She has a photo album which showed some of the before and after photos,... More

Miss Pat has done a remarkable job restoring this Gothic beauty, and an even more remarkable job turning it into the go-to place in St. Jo for a pleasant and satisfying luncheon. When the weather is favorable, don't miss sitting outside in the garden to enjoy your delicious repast - her garden is simply the best!
