First the food: I won't spend too much time here other than to say if you want one of the best dining experiences you will have within hundreds of miles--this is the Wyatt House. It should be your only choice. For instance, I have been off salmon for years. Yet, I ordered the roasted salmon as I thought If anyone... More

A couple of guys from New York City want to open their own restaurant. Where do they look? Manhattan? Brooklyn? Staten Island? The cost of rent for a small space in NYC would run more than $10,000 a month. Then, there’s the staff, food, etc. Instead, why not check out St. Joseph, Missouri. Huh? Well, the guys did just that.... More

We've long been looking for a place in town to go for a nice dinner that's special but not over-priced. Little did we know that that place has been here all along! Our group of 8 had dinner to celebrate a birthday. The guest of honor had gone there for lunch the day before and, on a whim, asked if... More

Our group of seven (sisters/cousins) lunched at JC Wyatt House as part of our annual get-together. The food was great. The ambience was relaxing. We were seated in the smaller dining room which was just right for our group. Jim, the owner, served us and took the time to give us quite a bit of information regarding his project of... More

We had a family luncheon enhanced by the superb food, the beautifully restored Victorian home, and the conversation with the owner. If you have an occasion to celebrate, you should consider doing so at the JC Wyatt House, you will enjoy your experience all the more.

I highly recommend JC Wyatt House for dinner any night. They have exceptional service, exceptional food and the evening was amazing. It is not very often I think about the food days later and wish I was eating it again, with JC I could eat there every night!

We went to the JC Wyatt House recently and I usually have the Salmon but decided I wanted a steak and I am glad I did. The filet was so tender you could almost cut it with a fork, I then noticed a steak sauce and thought I would try the steak without the sauce and then with the sauce.... More

The food is amazing but that said, this is an experiential meal. The evening we had was like I've only read about or seen in movies. It was worth five times more than it cost. Thank you, Jim, for the great food, lovely atmosphere and (hands down), the best service ever!

We entered into this evenings excursion with - frankly - no idea at all of what lay ahead. We took a look at the house - and the neighborhood - and were still unsure, but willing to give it a shot. We are truly fortunate that we did. The title of my review pretty much sums up our experience. We... More
