Diane's was an awesome breakfast spot, but it closed down in late 2013. Lunch and dinner where quite good too.

3 of us drove from Las Vegas to look at this place back a couple of years ago. They had an ad on Craigslist to sell it. The price in their ad was not the same story when we got there. However, it was only worth what the ad said. This woman who owned it had a sorry excuse for... More

If you enjoy good home cooking, don't miss this place! Love it! Don't skip the desert. The coconut frenetic pie is to die for.

My husband and I had been looking forward to eating here for quite some time so when we finally got there and had a less than average experience, we were very disappointed. I ordered one of the specials, chicken and dumplings, which had nice flavor but it was Luke warm, at best. Also ordered a side salad and got a... More

What a find! We went to the travel/information center in the area. The gentleman at the center gave us two recommendations and we chose the right one. The 50's diner look was charming and so much fun. Good food, good service. The home made chips were yummy!! Down home and We would definately go back, if we were in the... More

Though I am a vegetarian, sometimes driving through small towns you have to embrace the canned corn greasy spoon experience-- that is Diane's Diner! Great malts and great burgers with home-made chips. Pie if you aren't stuffed:)

If you like old-fashioned small-town diners, this place does not disappoint. Located on the main drag in St. James, Diana's was an awesome find. We ordered a variety of foods, and all were delicious. I had the double cheeseburger, and it was enormous and awesome. Atmosphere was down-home, quaint, and clean. The servers were efficient and friendly. I would definitely... More

Pros - Easy to find on the main street in St. James (Jefferson St.). Large variety on the menu. 50's classic car decor. Homemade chips Cons - The main area is "smoking" whereas the room off to the side in "non-smoking", although the non-smoking dining area is larger. Sandwich took almost 30 minutes to arrive. We had lunch at Diana's... More

We stopped in for breakfast before leaving St. James. The owners and staff were such a friendly group, which made for an enjoyable meal. Everything about our breakfast was great - food, service and hospitality. They allowed us to park our '57 Chevy in front and may have our picture on their wall. If you're traveling the Mother Road stop... More

We have become so accustomed to smoke-free restaurants that I neglected to call ahead to find out if the diner was smoke-free (it is not). The back room was less smoky than the front room, but since the two areas are connected by an open door, the smoke was difficult to escape. The food was fine-- nothing particularly great, nothing...
