Where Ladies Break Fast and Lunch

Quice was tasty, light and yet dense enough to feel. Waldorf sald had an interesting twist with yogurt instead of mayo. Nice selection of loose teas mostly black with one or two green and herbal. Pleasant, personable service in a gussied up older home.

My husband and I stopped by as we were driving through town. Quaint building, friendly staff and customers. My husband had chicken salad on pretzel croissant which was a special request and they were gracious enough to accommodate his request. His was delicious. I had their signature which is baked chicken salad. It was good but I would have preferred... More

Was disappointed in the change of decore since it has new ownership. I didn't feel like it had the tea room atmosphere any more more of an artsy place with artist work for sale. I ordered a sandwich which was nothing special. Doubt if I will go back.Did check out the upstairs and it looked like they had a cute... More

I frequently bring out of town guests here so they can enjoy the charm of this quaint old home. The menu is quite different. Their lemonade made with milk is definitely different. It's hard to decide between all of the salads, sandwiches and desserts . We frequently "share" so we can have a sampling of all their food. There are... More

I've lived in St. Charles for 22 years and had NEVER been ! I've heard it about for years, but never had or took the opportunity to go. Last week I went for lunch w/my daughter and granddaughter (age 3). They have a large selection of menu items, and serve breakfast all day. When asked if she wanted "French toast... More

Our group enjoyed our holiday luncheon in this festive old mansion on the outskirts of main street in St. Charles. It was like stepping into a Dickens novel. The interior was warm and inviting and so festive. The staff was fantastic. Everyone at our table loved their food from home made soups, quiches and wonderful salads. The desserts were divine... The atmosphere was pleasant, the food was amazing and the artwork was great. Mark Twain never looked so good and the artwork gave the old style house some needed updating and a unique touch. I had the Quiche Lorraine and the Cranberry Bistro Salad along with a flavored ice tea. Our meal was very fresh and we enjoyed every bite.... More

Always have loved Miss America B's. It has a new ownership and I not quite sure if I like it as much as the old ownership. Yes, the food is still delicious, but the portions seem smaller. The desserts are still very yummy. The new decor does not fit the grandeur of this historical home. Apparently the new owner husband... More

This is a very charming and quaint little place with so much charm. The menu has many salads and sandwiches. They also serve breakfast all day. I had the small salad with bacon, walnuts, mixed greens, red onions with a raspberry vinaigrette. I was surprised that they did not offer bread on the table. I think this would be a... More
