You have to do it once

How often do you get to have dinner in a cave two stories up in the air? First - use your GPS. Without it you'll never find it. Signage is poor and it is well often the beaten path down a dusty dirt road. Once you arrive, you have to wait for a shuttle van (ours never came) or walk... read more

Tried to call but phone disconnect. So took a chance any way. It was a Saturday evening around 4:30 pm. Listing said it was open on trip-advisor. After going like 6 miles down gravel roads we arrived. The road signs didn't state any thing like where closed, but they where! Chains over entrances! So disappointed it was a surprise for... More

I was driving back from Branson, and wanted to stop for lunch. The Cave was only open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday through the end of October. It was kind of hard to get to. I got off I 44 at the first Richland Exit. There were no signs telling me where to go, so I just followed the road... More

We had heard about this place from a friend who had been there for lunch. Not sure why he liked it so much...I know we didn't. First of all you can not drive to the place. You park and a van shows up and takes you there. It's a good thing because the road is non existent. The restaurant is... More

Quite an experience. First, ask if elevator is operational, otherwise be prepared to climb 45 iron see-thru steps. I mention this because I am afraid of heights and iron steps, but I made it and am so glad I did. Debbie is an awesome waitress a d the food was excellent. It takes a while, but relax and enjoy a... This was not just a restaurant. It is an adventure! We really enjoyed the cave, the beautiful hike to get there. Literally a "hole in the wall"...lol. The food was great and the waitress Debbie was very attentive and entertaining.

I went here with Danny and his friends. We had to wait in this wooden shelter area for a van to come take us to the restaurant. It was very smelly because there was a garbage can in the shelter by the bench. There were also flies everywhere. We could have actually walked to the restaurant, except we didn't really... More

We detoured our trip from Route 66 purposely to visit the cave for lunch on Monday, September 8. The sign indicated nothing except your location. We drove down the miles of road to the parking lot. There were no cars and it was blocked.v we decided to drive up the gravel road. We do not have a four-wheel-drive, so we... More

I am very sorry that you did not see the hours posted at the parking lot as well as on the brochure which state that the months of September & October we are closed on Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday. At the end of October we close for the season and will reopen at the end of April. As far as... More

I had a real surprise today. We were on our way home from Branson, MO and the two friends we were with ask if we wanted to eat in a cave. I thought "okay what ever". Wow, that was great! We parked and a van was there to drive us around to the face of the cliffs and there it... More

The wait to get to the resturaunt is ridiculous, then you go up in an old retro astro van which reeks of gas, the waitresses seem disinterested in their customers, debbie in particular was a total biotch. The wait on the food was way too long and that long of a wait for food lacking flavor is unworth it, i... More
