Great service, good food, bad wine list

I recently dined here with a large group, and we had an overall good time. Service was great and very attentive. We always had the right plates we needed and our drinks were always full. The wine list is basically everything you can buy at Target in their wine section, but at triple the cost. It's... read more

My husband and I spent our last night in town here, for a romantic dinner. The staff was super nice and did a great job! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was comfortable.

The restaurant was very out dated and didn't seem very inviting. When we first walked in the lower leve, it looked like a little dive bar, definitely not what I was expecting. The hostess then took us up quite a few stairs to the dining area. My husband and I both had steaks, he had the ribeye and I had... More

J. Bruner's Restaurant is the type of place that you save for a treat, or occasion. The food is out of sight, albeit expensive, but very good. I had the Kansas City Strip Steak and baked potato. Often times, I will avoid having a steak in a restaurant because I have been disappointed before. When a place specializes in steaks... More

Bar / entrance smells of mold. Bathrooms are less than service station cleanliness. The reception grew noticeably cold with no reservation. It was Saturday night- but we watched 4 tables clear before another couple "waiting" in the bar with no reservation were seated. Food great. Service great. Atmosphere not exceptional.

Very good food and reasonable choices. This restaurant is on the higher cost end but you get what you pay for. Our waitress, Anji, was a delight. Would recommend but be prepared for the bill.

Restaurant was in need of a face lift, very dated. The waitress was great, think her name was Sue. The food was good but overpriced for the look of restaurant. If you are fine dinning then it should feel like it. When our bill was presented it stated all items as ala carte, when the menu showed all inclusive. When... More

Oh we love this place & have been coming here for years!! They have the BEST onion rings at the lake! My husband & I crave them. Menu is meat & potatoes but all cooked wonderfully. Also fish and chicken. Good prime rib. Sometimes I just get a baked potato with salad. Their salad is cold, crisp with homemade croutons,... More

The best onion rings ever tasted. We had the prime rib it melted in your mouth. The waitress was excellent, it's on the pricy side but worth the experience.

J. Bruner's Restaurant is a fine dining experience at the Lake of the Ozarks. It is large enough for family's yet personal enough for a couple. The food is excellent!! Try the stuffed mushrooms and the onion rings.
