Anyone who's read my restaurant reviews since moving to Missouri knows that I've been on a two-year quest to discover authentic Mexican food. El Jimador Mexican Restaurant seems to have roots in Mexico instead of Texas or stemming from trying to please palates fond of melted cheese. The salsa provided when guests are seated may be mild but it has... More

Go elsewhere . There are much better options at the lake. The food wasn't terrible, but the atmosphere left much to be desired. If I wasn't with friends I would've probably left. The place could use a good cleaning.

The restaurant was not full when we arrived. It took a while to be seated & served. The food was good for the price.

I would call this an average mexican restaurant, given the food and service. There is a better place half an hour away, going south.

I had a Diablo Burrito which was pretty tasty. Wife and kids meals were OK. Lots of cheese! Chips were a little cold and could have been better. Service was OK. Nothing terrible, but just about average overall.

Overall, a great experience. Chips and salsa were good and food was on par for a classic Mexican restaurant. Margaritas were tasty! Service was quick and polite. Definitely would go there again if in the area.

We came at night somewhat near closing time. There was no hostess at the station and we couldn't see any staff. Waited about 3 or more minutes before someone saw us. Their chips and salsa were good but nothing special. I got chicken enchiladas and only ate 2 bites, they tasted like nothing but chicken flavoring despite the red sauce... More

We had lunch at this restaurant twice will visiting Osage Beach. The food is excellent and the service was friendly and very accommodating. My husband and I are especially fond of mexican cuisine and this is one of the best mexican restaurants we have dined at.

My only real complaint was that their A/C was broken on an 83 degree day. Ceiling fans helped, but it was still a warm dinner experience. Good selection of food and beers. Cute faux-cantina decor.

As a vegetarian, it's hard finding good restaurants of any type. This one is an exception. They really know how to do great veggie-Mexican. Staff go out of their way to please. Love this place! Rev Bill, moreableinc.org
