My brother, his girlfriend and I were racing around last night late searching for a meal and most restaurants were fully booked or were soon to stop serving. We found the George Inn and they were able to accommodate us in a friendly and professional manner. Thank goodness - what a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. A varied... More

We visited the George Inn on a very sunny Sunday and sure enough found a very pleasant nicely furnished village pub. Despite this, we were suprised that the pub was rather quiet with only a few diners despite arriving well before 2 pm. The Sunday lunch was however rather average. Considering we paid £15 for 2 courses, this was rather... More

We planned to have lunch on our way back from a weekend spent with our daughters in Bournemouth as we would be nearly home to Broadstairs after lunch. We had never been to the George before. We were extremely happy with everything from the warm welcome to the excellent pint of Early Bird and delicious lunch. I had the suet... More

We both had a Sunday roast. The food was fresh, local produce and very delicious. We will be returning in the near future.

We were a group of ladies staying at a nearby converted barn for a hen weekend and came across The George Inn when looking for local dining. From the start the owners Paul and Lisa have been incredibly helpful and accommodating when it came to organising a set menu within our budget to Lisa offering to pick up/drop off some... More

Lovely food and atmosphere - sat by a cosy open fire. Attentive staff and excellent service. Great menu choice and nice to see a good selection of gluten free options. Will definitely be back!

Visited here on a Saturday night with friends, and its a busy pub restaurant. There's a good choice of beers, lagers and wines. The menu at a push I would say is slightly limited but the food was very nice. Staff are all very good and friendly.......... Always a bonus. Yup I will be visiting again.

We were recommend this venue and were very disappointed. We booked lunch. On arrival we waited ages for service at the bar. The waitress failed to provide menus, which we then sought out. Eventually our order was taken. We then waited 45 minutes for our food, in fact we were within minutes of walking out. Secondly the waitress lacked any... More

First visit here and won't be our last. Lunch was extremely tasty and well cooked. Plenty of choice and really good value for money. Beer well kept. Pub itself is well looked after with a welcoming fire and comfy chairs. A really good country pub and a credit to the landlords.
