Visited here most afternoons and dined on two occasions. This is a very friendly little club and drinks are a reasonable price. $4.50 a schooner. The menu was basic but the meals are wholesome and at a reasonable price also. We stayed at Governors Lodge which was only a ten minute walk away.

We ate here on a Sunday night when there is only one meal available, a Baked Pork dinner which I am pleased to report was very good and amply supported with all the trimmings at a very competitive price, I am sure you could ask and receive Mashed and Baked potatoes with a serving of fries too if so inclined... A great club to enjoy a lovely Sunday night roast. Could be either beef, pork or lamb. All very tender and a good size serve for $20 (at time of writing)

We ended up having a few meals and drinks here. Sam behind the bar had a very good memory and had drinks ready when we came in. Meals were good and service good. Friday night entertainment was fantastic with the local band

We went for dinner one night two of us ordered lamb shanks (which were delicious) and one ordered mashed potato and vegetables. All the vegetables were very hard, almost un-edible, and my friend's broccoli had a caterpillar in one piece and and small nest of them in the other piece. When we pointed this out to the waitress her explanation... More

Hi Mary, I am so sorry to hear you had a bad experience at the Norfolk Island R.S.L. Club. Both the Club and the Bistro are under new management since your trip. The food was average and too expensive compared to better restaurants on the island. We ate there twice, the second time was more for convenience before a show. Pleasant staff but no ambience.
