My wife and I went to Acero's Restaurant at about 8:30 pm on August 16, 2014 to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. We had just left another restaurant before we even ordered there because of the loud noise, expense and limited food choices. Acero's Restaurant was a bit noisy when we arrived but we were seated in a nice booth even... More

We went to an outside art fair tonight in Maplewood and after viewing the art we stopped in Acero, where we had eaten years ago. But tonight we had the Tasting Menu, which is a four-course dinner for $30. Maybe I just made the right choices, but my meal was wonderful, beginning with the green salad, then a slightly spicy... Lovely little cafe in downtown Maplewood, MO. They use all local produce and products from the area and their menu changes daily. The staff is excellent, the wine list is fabulous and the food was not only gorgeous, but delicious. This will definitely become one of my favorites. The four course tasting menu for $30 per person is the way... More

Went here for dinner yesterday with friends and family. The menu had a lot of unique italian dishes that I was not familiar with. I ordered the tasting menu which was great because you got 4 small courses to try a variety of items. The scallops were some of the best I have ever had. My friends who had pasta... More

If you are in the area, be sure to go to this restaurant. We had an amazing four course meal for $30. I had chicken liver mousse on toast, spaghetti with a delicious chile sauce, outstanding wild boar Ragusa on polenta and, for an additional $5, the cheese platter. Everything was delicious. My husband also had a terrific meal: a... More

What a pleasant surprise! Meet and mix at a nearby brew house. Then walk here for a fine meal in the European tradition. Unassuming but knowledgeable wait service. Great food and a wine list for everybody.

Acero is a gem. First, it's a nice-looking restaurant -- both classy and comfortable. Second, the service was great -- attentive without being intrusive, with helpful recommendations on both food and wine. Third, and most importantly, the food was terrific. Our group included six people, and everyone thought every dish was a success. As others have mentioned, the $30 4-course... More

Truly one of the best restaurants in St. Louis. We are foodies, and we were delighted with the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the value. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I've been to Acero three times now in the past three months, and am always looking for an excuse to go back -- it is simply that good. I'd agree with reviewers who have said that it's not going to bowl you over with fancy surroundings -- jeans would be fine here -- and with the reviewer who mentioned the... More

What a wonderful night. We had 12 people come and were escorted to a quiet room. It was a Thursday night and we had lots of attention We started with slices of meat and cheese cut by a nearby machine. We then went for the 30 dollar 4 course tasting. Everyone was happy and loved the food. My favorite was... More
