The place is small, very casual and clean. We had breakfast there and it was wonderful, hot huge portions and very very reasonable. Would recommend it highly. The doughnuts are awesome too!!

Traveling through and found this place, and what a neat place with super friendly people. Really nice owner who served us and talked about the restaurant. Wish we had time to eat a sit down breakfast. If through this way we will stop again! Beats the heck out of franchise places.

I hate to admit this as I live here but this was my first visit to Marge's previously known as Daybreak. Very quaint little place that is dearly loved by the locals. Staff is very friendly and food is really good. We had a great breakfast. Just don't plan on being in a hurry. Sit in the dining room and... More

Recently reopened under new ownership, they offer a full breakfast menu. However, my wife and I opted just for pastries (plus coffee and chocolate milk), The folks were friendly and the pastries were very good. That recipe should prove successful for them.

I just love local places like Daybreak. My wife and I were driving through Louisiana and decided to stop after reading reviews (my wife was driving - I was looking up places to eat in the area on my phone). We went in and were greeted by a very nice lady, sorry I do not remember her name, she was... More

The owner of this establishment was friendly and helpful as we enjoyed his Saturday morning bakery sales. We each took a dozen home to our families.

Stopped for breakfast on way back from Springfield. Off the main drag by a few blocks makes it a hidden treasure. Locals' restaurant with good food, small town atmosphere, great pastries & low prices. Worth a return visit.

So we found Daybreak Donuts four years ago. We had spent the night in Louisiana and our motel owner suggested the donuts at Daybreak. We had donuts and coffee and took some berry fritters to go. Little did we know that the fritters are the best we have ever had. We have stopped there every year now to pick up... More
