Great little place

The coleslaw was awesome as well as the Pork and Turkey. The outside seating area was nice and the building itself was neat with lots or older items in the decor. The staff was helpful and it was a nice place to stop for dinner.

Great little place off the beaten path with some great food and unique atmosphere! Very clean place. Reasonable prices. Definitely on my list of favorite places to eat.

This is a charming restored gas station in downtown Lees Summit with a few tables inside and many more outdoors. We stopped in for dinner and waited 39 minutes for our order to be ready. I had the two-meat dinner and found the meat tasty but rather dry. A companion had a burnt-end sandwich which he reported as dry. The... More

The meat was not cooked well. I thought the potato salad was rotten, was hot and the one bite I took was a rotten taste. The bbq bottles were dirty and wouldn't squeeze out cause they was clogged up. Got a bottle from another table and it was also clogged. The baked beans tasted old. I went home sick to... More

We stopped by the Filling Station on our way to the St. Patrick's Day parade. Looking for something quick, it was perfect. They had a grill set up outside and were selling big ribs individually for $2 each (parade special only most likely). They were cooked perfectly and we appreciated the option of the three varieties of sauce on each... More

Went for Sunday lunch after church. All eight of us were happy with the various smoked meats we ordered. Great atmosphere with outdoor seating. Great sauce options. Will definitely make a return trip :)

I saw this place and had to stop! I, like most guys, am a fan of nostalgia. Here is a step back in time; a 1930's gas station renovated and reopened as a BBQ restaurant. The smell emanating from the smoker was making me drool before I even got in the door. The diner is set up in a 50's... More

My husband & I tried this as a take out first and loved it! It was such a fun atmosphere with all the old auto signs and such, we dinned in with our kids. They think it looks like the CARS movie with all the Route66 stuff, and think it's fun to eat there. We have always get the 2... More

New owners took over some time ago. Turkey is just deli turkey now, not smoked, very dissapointing. Everything is extra now too. Not sure we will be back. Used to be a favorite in town

Had lunch there spent $14.30 on it. What I got was a beef sandwich that looked like pulled pork not sliced brisket. the meat had no smoke ring and no flavor. The meat was not cut against the grain like it should be. Also ordered a full order of rings instead of fries. What I got was 6 small rings... More
