a place that is a must to eat at least once at the Lake

This is a place that is a top eatery at the lake. Wonderful view, fine expensive food, and always busy. Even if it's crowded the food is great, and the servers are tops. It' an experience everyone has to have at least once. The view of the lake is one that's famous. An old established eatery that... read more

The owner was extremely rude and the food was mediocre at best. Nice view, cute atmosphere, so that was all good, but the food was overpriced, not great at all, and the owner was offensive to put it lightly...

Top notch! Elegant and very fine dining at its best! Very expensive but well worth it! The salad is fresh and crisp with homemade dressings served with chilled plates and forks. The homemade to order onion rings are golden and crunchy sliced just right. The food quality is A+++! The outdoor pool and gazebo along with the patio make wonderful... More

Have loved this restaurant for over 10 years. Have been, maybe once every two. Last time there, I noticed that the inside desperately needs renovating. The food is very good, but not as good as several of the fine dining restaurants in the area.

I have eaten here at least 100 times in the last 25 years....Now the service, and food is a "has been".....resting on their past excellent, (and, then, well deserved) reputation. Example, the lobster bisque used to be the best I'd had anywhere throughout my extensive travels. The last time I was there and ordered it, it was setting up like... More

Great Steaks, Seafood and Beverages, Wonderful views.I love the house salad and croutons.Deep fried Beer batter lobster. Coffee and after dinner Cognac. Relaxed dining. Don't have to rush to eat and leave. Dislike driving on the steep hill to and from the restaurant.

For years my wife and I had talked about going to the Blue Heron, but had heard it was very expensive. So we saved it for a 'special' occasion. We decided that our 40th Wedding Anniversary would be the occasion. The view is the best on the entire Lake of the Ozark. We've eaten at all of the best Lake... More

No reservations accepted, tired decor, overcooked (yet barely-warm) food, sullen servers, obscene prices, pretentious wine list... AND THE OWNER LIES THAT IT'S AGAINST THE LAW TO BRING YOUR OWN WINE (I'm happy to pay a corkage which is 100% LEGAL in the state of Missouri)!! This beautiful piece of real estate deserves an equally beautiful restaurant, but that is never... More

I had been to the Blue Heron many times over the last 20 years but not in the last 5 years so I was very excited when my husband surprised with a trip there for my birthday. We went early so we could have a drink at the bar only to find it was gone and replaced with a private... More

It's always one of my favorites at the Lake of Ozarks. A little pricey but definitely worth it. Food and service are outstanding.
