Wonderful variety of Sushi and the sides are perfect complement. The Bartender(s) are a talented group also. The location is in a fun part of KC, close to Sprint Center and the Crossroads District.

Visited about 7p on Friday evening and were able to be seated immediately with four in our party. The ambience of Nara is trendy and modern. Very neat environment! My husband ordered an entree - the three meat combo and said it was very good and hearty. Our friends and I split 6 different sushi rolls and all were yummy!... More

Very nice very interesting place. "Hip" :-) Staff is very quick both taking and bringing your order and also clearing the table. All staff clearing tables and helping with serving. Food is excellent, great selection, very fresh and well seasoned. Not sure who else is with this like Im but finding a well maintained modern, clean bathroom in a restaurant... More

Dined here prior to an event at the Sprint Center. Pad Thai was excellent as well as the sushi. Make reservations, especially on a Saturday night, and if you have a Dining Club card, be advised that it is only valid for a handful of entrees and not the extensive sushi menu.

My girlfriend and I just happned on this place as we were walking around the Crossroads Arts District looking for a place to eat. We saw the menu in the window and it looked good. We got a table right away. I thought the space was really great - a renovated old warehouse-style space now a restaurant. My waiter was... More

HORRIBLE place for a group dinner and we will NEVER come back!! A group of 18 people went to Nara to celebrate my brother's surprise wedding. **During** the round-table toast the manager came up to the couple IN FRONT OF THEIR GUESTS and asked them to keep the noise down. We were not being overly loud, but we were a... More

First of all, let me preface this by saying we went in the early evening when the restaurant was busy. What I didn't like about Nara was how awkward the seating seemed. We sat at a table on the side of the restaurant and it just felt like we were on display. I am sure it was nothing, just in... More

My husband and I dined at Nara on a recent weekend trip to Kansas City. We ordered Crab Rangoon and one type of sushi for appetizers and both were excellent. We probably had the best Crab Rangoon we have ever tasted there. Unfortunately, we were both disappointed with our entrees. My husband ordered the special, which was a sea bass... More

Great sushi, Koji is the best! The best sushi in town no doubt. I also like their grilled sampler for an appetizer. They do have some nice original coscktails and I always get some sake. Make sure to get a booth facing the windows for a great view of downtown.

Biz lunch. This is an old building, old brick, high ceilings. What a sushi menu. Huge rolls too. We had a spider roll, Sexy mama roll, Rainbow roll and California roll. Just very, very west coast like. This place has a cool vibe. KC is such a great foodie town.
