Good pizza, philly, and beer!

Stopped by Grinders while we were in town after seeing it on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. You just seat yourself at any open table and wait for a waiter to come by and bring your menus...strange, but we didn't have to wait too long. I tried a slice of the tandori chicken pizza (Benghal Tiger... read more

We decided to try out the tator tot pizza and the Philly since they were shown on Diner's, Drive-Ins, and Dives. The tator tot/chili/cheese topping was good, but the pizza that was under it wasn't very impressive. You can either order a whole pizza or a slice, and then you pay extra money to have the tator tot topping added.... More

My husband and I stopped here and loved the charm and had our server Darren tell us the history which was very interesting! I had the fried goat cheese salad. It was delicious I was wanting more cheese. I also had a California BLT which was not only delicious but very unique. My husband had their famous Philly and smoked... More

After reading some reviews thought I'd try the Philly. Didn't have much flavor. Hubby ordered a pizza, it was very good. Many beers to choose. They have a bar side and a restaurant side, we ended up at the bar in a booth. Service was excellent, staff very friendly. Also ordered the Crab Rangoon appetizer, not good, hardly any filling.... After being on Triple D lots of hype about Grinders. It's worth it. Great area. Interesting place. Dine out back of the weather allows. Wait staff is friendly and fun in a grungy way. Pizza is awesome. We had several but my favorite is the Le Hog. Philly is good, not great. Salads are great. My son loves the fresh... More

Another Triple D resturant on our "to stop at" list and another winner! We started off with some wild chili and tator tot appetizer that was fantastic...can't go wrong with chili and tots! I got the Philly Steak Sandwich and the Mrs ordered a pizza that we split as well...she's a little cautious and finicky eater so it was a... More

Small place, but really glad we found it! Best food we had on our weekend in KC. Big portions of excellent food, and a good beer list, including many local beers. You need to stop here! And don't forget to try some of their really nice hot sauce!

Soooo many beers to choose from! I was there to drink, so that's all I did while I was in town, but I've been told by many locals that the food is great too. If you're looking for a good place to grab a drink after work with friends, be sure to stop here!

Great food and atmosphere. I visited here twice while working in the area. Their pizza sauce is excellent.

Quirky and fun. Quick and delicious food. We had the Philly cheesesteak pizza and fried mushrooms. Both were really good and fresh and served pipping hot. Great staff. Wonderful people watching. The pizza was a fairly thing crust but not a cracker crust had a nice chew to it. Would go back! It's seat yourself and first come first serve... More
