GREAT PIZZA & WINGS

Pretty spot on NY style pizza , wings were awesome .Large beer selection cant believe have been in kc 15 years and this was our first trip . Place is a true dive bar .from decor to its employees. Not rude but not great either .Lets just say you will go for the food not the service ..

The food portions at this restaurant are pretty big. I had a pastrami sandwich. It was good but a lot of food so I took half of it home. My side dish was the gouda baked potato casserole. It has promise but it was served barely warm. My hubby had a reuben which looked good and he seemed to enjoy... More

Excellent pizza and wings. We visited KC from out of town and Grinders did not disappoint. Service was good and they wings and pizza were excellent. They also served cheap beer which is a plus!

Came here for drinks and a quick pizza. Heard about the Philly cheesesteak but the pizza smelled so good and it was. Great choice with very good craft beer options.

One of my co-workers brought us here for lunch; what a treat. Only wish is was dinner and drinks would have been involved, along with live music. Do plan on revisiting for local bands and drinks with the missus and friends. Pay attention to take note of the "custom" ductwork inside the eastern portion of the joint; homage to the... More

We were very excited about Grinders and it didn't disappoint. We got a small pizza and 6 wings to split between the two of us and it was all delicious. The pizza had just enough toppings and also wasn't overloaded with sauce. It had a great ratio of sauce to toppings. The wings were also very good although we should... More

Visited Grinders after a baseball game.... The food was terrific! My son and I had the Philly Cheesesteak with Cheese Whiz and my daughter had the Tuna Melt. Both were outstanding along with the service. The restaurant itself is in an older building with interesting decor. Definitely in a more liberal part of town but don't let that stop you... More

Food is terrific., Ambiance - fun. I probably would not necessarily take my children there for an evening meal but it is great for a group of friends or couples. The wait staff is very efficient and take excellent care of you. Be certain not to play it "safe" with an entree you feel comfortable with like chicken fingers -... More

Pros: Great Pizza, friendly staff, unique interior Cons: Can get expensive when adding toppings. They need ceiling fans and better air conditioning! Seating is limited for large groups.

We stopped in here during our road trip out west after seeing Grinders make a DDD appearance. Finding a place to park was a major challenge and the location was somewhat....sketchy. But we pressed on anyway. The place was crowded but we happened to get a booth just as someone was leaving. The vibe was a little rowdier than I... More
