Sophisticated yet down to earth. Prompt service, knowledgable service and great flavors! It's always risky business ordering fish in the Midwest but my halibut tasted fresh and light. My husbands pork was tender. Portions just right It was a little noisy but not enough to take away our great experience!

The menu will take a while to read through, because every dish is a unique creation. Masterfully paired and prepared food are a delight to the palette. Nothing on the menu looks familiar, but every mouthful is outstanding. I would at here daily if I could ...

I love great food and great atmosphere. The atmosphere was excellent but the food was not. Based on the reviews and the reputation of the chef, I had very high hopes. My fiancé and I ordered the seared sirloin which came with potato and carrot hash, and onion rings. When served there is a very small portion of the hash,... More

My wife, daughter, and I went to Michael Smith before a concert at the Kauffman Center. Every one of the dishes served to us was spectacular. Prices here are quite reasonable, and the ambience is inviting and comfortable. Service is just as good as the food - first cabin all the way.

We arrived with a rather large family party (9) and were seated promptly. We tried some unusual appetizers recommended by the waitress and were very pleased with the recommendation. The dinner was excellent as usual and the wine selection was everything we could ask for.

This was our first time at this restaurant. Our first impression was that the parking situation in the area was very difficult. We parked on the street a block away as we could not locate a parking lot which was designated for this restaurant (unless we missed something driving around). I like the décor and ambiance, even though it's right... More

dined here for dinner with my sisters-Groupon for half off. Must admit , looking over the menu, I would not have chosen this restaurant due to the unfamiliar items. But the experience was nice.. the waitress was very nice and explained the menu in great detail. She gets an A+ . Had the soup of the day, the 8 hour... More

When it first opened several years ago I went to Michael Smith several times and liked it a lot. For no good reason I had not been back for the last few years, until last night. Overall the food was really good. I had the rabbit gnocchi which I had loved years back and found it lived up to my... More

Nice atmosphere for a nice evening out. I was here twice. First time food was good, except I thought it was a little salty. I think the food could be better flavored with other herbs/spices rather than a ton of salt. I liked it enough to give it a second try, especially with a Groupon deal. However, I accidentally bought... More

The food was excellent as was the service. Went on a Wednesday night - all Italian wines were 1/2 price. What really set this restaurant apart was that I could hear what my guests were saying. I am 65 and starting to have a little trouble hearing, acoustics here were excellent. Even thought the restaurant was 80%+ full, I had... More
