It's wonderful when you go gourmet and the food and service make it worth the money. We'll be back to Michael Smith. Loved the robust flavors of the beet salad, boiled egg with truffle, arctic char, eight hour pork roast and gnocci rabbit. Suggest you eye the room and ask for a table location for more privacy as our table... More

We enjoyed every part of this meal! Standouts were the pork roast, beet salad and potato soup. Each had a very unique combination of flavor. Wine list and service were also very good. Decor is modern and very nice. We will definitely go back! If you go as a family, know that the prices are a little on the high... More

New to us anyway - we've since learned that many of the locals love this Crossroads gem and it's sister 'small plate' restaurant next door. The menu was varied with a lot of interesting flavors. Everything tasted so fresh and bright. The decor was elegantly modern, but not noisy. We had a great pre-New Year's dinner before heading to see... More

We went to the restaurant between Christmas and New Years. We were greeted warmly and sat right away. We had all decided to order multiple courses so we could try several things. By far the best plate of the nite was the Rabbit gnocchi,,,,,it's was fantastic. Everything we had was very well done and we happily passed it around so... More

Get the tasting menu and have your dinner mate do the same. We got the 4 course tasting menu and got to try 4 entrees in the process - all incredible! Our favorites were the pork roast and short rib. If you're feeling European, get the cheese tasting for dessert!

Great food with lovely presentation, in a wonderful open, well-lighted space. The Thursday night (Grande Notte) Italian specials are really special, and wines are half-price. There is a great selection of wines by the glass.

I haven't been to a restaurant in Kansas City for 20 years, but my goodness things have changed and this place it really good! I was so delighted and Michael Smith seems to have got it just about right. The reception and service were spot on. Polite, knowledgeable and slightly reserved - not to friendly, which can be off-putting -... More

I expected more. This was the second time we have eaten here. The first time, I was not impressed, but thought it deserved a second try. The location is great. The restaurant is hip, but the food is not outstanding. For these prices, I expect to be wowed by the food and the service. We were eating with a vegetarian,... More

Ate here for a rehearsal dinner. Loved the ambiance and friendly hip staff. Very attentive service even though the dinner was paid for by our hosts. Food was exceptional! Savory sea bass and amazing rich bucatini with meatballs. I would definitely come back here to eat again!

I have been here before and knew I was dining there that night between 1900-2000. I ate breakfast and lunch as well as a piece of fruit around 1700. I had the 8 hour pork roast and it was good and seasoned well. Menu is not all inclusive and you must pay for salad, vegetable and drinks etc. normal for... More
