KC Must

Hosted a business meal here for 4 people. Did the 5 course tasting without wine but ordered wine and cocktails separately. Sommelier was great as were the servers, bartenders and hostess. Overall great experience and would recommend.

We had my son's birthday dinner at Bluestem on a Tuesday evening. The bar area was lively and mostly full, with people both drinking and eating. They have an extensive selection of wines, decent happy hour cocktails reasonably priced and a large small plate menu with many delectable dishes. We were interested in dinner so we were seated in the... More

This is my daughter and son-in-laws go to fancy restaurant and we finally planned ahead enough to visit on our last anniversary. We had a wonderful meal and wine flights that only made it better. The service was first rate and the staff knowledgeable. the décor was pleasant and the desserts sinful. Highly recommended for a special evening out.

When I travel, I love to have an excellent meal in a new city. And this trip, my first time to KC, an old friend suggested Bluestem. Fortunately I was alone, so I could sit at the bar (actually the prep area) since the restaurant was booked solid. How delightful to enjoy 5 lovely courses with wine pairings... everything delicious... More

We were in KC on a Sunday just for the day & were so excited to try their brunch. First off, we have not eaten here for dinner so I will not judge the whole restaurant on our meal. Sadly, I can only say that I would not return (excluding trying dinner). We consider ourselves "foodies" & with that being... More

Following our waiter’s recommendation, we ordered the five-course tasting menu with wine accompaniments. What resulted was an experience as much visual and auditory as gustatory. Each course was elaborately plated and presented. Each new wine came with a lengthy explanation by the sommelier. The food was good, but perhaps because we had small portions of so many dishes, none of... More

This is a highly recommended place among foodies. The location and venue are inviting and friendly. It looks like a "cool" restaurant. The food is almost creative and almost great - it just misses on both counts. It's trying and may get there. The food is tasty and the meal is worth trying. However, it's not yet the place it... We have been here three times in the past few months and it's always been fantastic. The food is wonderful and the staff is on top of their game. I highly recommend this spot for a sure fire good time.

My family and I made the trip from Oklahoma City just to enjoy a night at Bluestem would definitely come back. The servers are very professional and know the menu like the back of their hand and never let your water glass get below half full. We had the 5 course tasting menu and every course was wonderful. One item... More

It took us FOREVER to make it to the much-lauded, award-winning Bluestem. Sure glad we did, however, as EVERYONE working there with whom we had contact was friendly, competent and professional. The sommelier steered us to a heavenly Mt. Etna red that wasn't on the wine list (but was a scant $26 on happy hour discount), the fries were great,... More
