Drunken staff Karaoke night is the best

It's the armpit of the plaza, but when you get a drunk waitress and loud karaoke you seem to forget the old decor and fall back into your college routine. We got some free rounds because the waitress lost track. Fun experience if you don't have expectations and you forget the plaza high end shops... read more

I can only sum up my visit by saying I was in and out the door in less than 4 minutes. I used to come here all the time in the 1990's and it was great. Not so now! Dirty looking and greasy with shabby décor straight from the 1980's when it first opened. Trashy appearance. I could go on... More

Once in a while it is great when classic bars from your younger days are exactly the same as you remember - even after 30 years away. While this time I just stopped in for a drink and to reminisce a little, I have many fond memories of juicy burgers in this tiny spot on the edge of the Plaza.... More

I have been coming to the one on the Plaza since the 80's and it has always been good. It's not the most current 'sports bar;, meaning it doesn't have 50 TV's going all at once, but it has cold beer, good food, cold beer, a great location, and cold beer. And you can usually find parking in the garage... More

We visit the Overland Park area annually for business. Fred P Otts is walking distance from the hotel. The atmosphere is fun with daily food and drink specials. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about local beers. A must visit.

Staying with a friend and this was the closest place to walk to on a cold night. It was a lot smaller than I thought would be. There is a bar, a few scattered tables, and an upstairs area that was occupied by some sort of "Ladies Club" who were more than a tad hostile when I strayed into their... More

Fun little pub - reminded us of some of our Irish/midlands UK haunts. Easy to find - good for snacks and nice little beer/IPA issues. No biggie but kind of fun. The upstairs "lair" is cute.

This restaurant has stood the test of time in the Country Club Plaza... A central location with outside seating or enjoy the many screens , inside, for viewing your favourite sport while sipping a local beer in a real " American Bar" !!! Enjoying the renowned F.P.Ott Burger or Rueben Sandwich with Onion Rings.... A great meeting place that has... More

I heard on the Radio of the best Philly Cheese Steak was at this new chain in town. Not true!! Best Philly Cheese Steak goes to Fred P Ott's Bar and Grill. Fred P Ott's is not a fancy restaurant but if you want good American Bar Food there is none better. What I like about any of their locations... More

I know Fred P's has been around a long time. The drinks are affordable, and if you are just hanging out for happy hour it is fine, but man there is a definite funk when you walk in the door. I wouldn't eat there for dinner. Used the restroom once and wish that i hadn't.
