Great dumplings, but a bit over priced.

We started with the pan fried chicken, pork and shrimp dumplings and they were delicious. I had the roast duck noodle soup and my husband had the black bean chicken. The roast duck was fatty, but the meat pulled away easily from the fat. The noodles were good, but needed more spice. The black bean... read more

Have eaten here at least 15 times! I love this restaurant! This is where I like to take out of town guests! The dumplings and 'ants on a tree' are the best!

We had lunch at the Blue Koi on a Tuesday. Excellent food and service. We had the chicken dumplings for an appetizer, and then two of us had Asian pot roast, and one of us had the Asian pot roast sandwich plate. That sandwich plate was really good. The Asian pot roast with noodles or rice was very tender and... More

Was in town for a convention for the weekend and had to check this place out. Few months back I saw this place on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and it had my mouth watering. The place definitely lived up to the hype. Its a quaint little restaurant. Went near closing time so it wasn't crowded. I had the Spicy Wontons... More

I saw this place on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I've gone past it many times but the name kinda threw me off. After seeing the show, I decided it was time to try it out. I started out with the Spicy Chili Wontons as an appetizer (some people call them potstickers) and they were very good. Wow...the Chicken in Black... More

I used to work at KU and ate at this Blue Koi all the time, but never took the time to write a review. On Saturday, I have always loved the food and the staff. On Saturday early evening, we had a most wonderful meal of the peanut vegetable lettuce wraps (my personal consistent favorite) followed by the most amazing... More

Saw this on triple D and the food was good. Not over the top good, but very tasty. The dumplings were very good and my Firey Duck was delicious. My wife had the shrimp in bean sauce and was very good as well (shrimps were big and plentiful). I would definitely go again next time I'm in town.

Tasty food, perhaps a bit overpriced but not so much that it makes you angry. I'm partial to noodles and dumplings though, so when I find good ones I am willing to pay a little more.

Blue koi has a variety of food without having a gigantic menu. It is good and filling. Pork dumplings are great. Have been there several times and it is always good.

We had a great time at Blue Koi Restaurant. We got there about 30 minutes before they closed and still received excellent service with no waiting time. I ordered the pan fried shrimp, pork, and chicken dumplings; we thought this appetizer was excellent even after reheating it a few days later. We had the duck wrap and it was ok.... More
