Anniversary Dinner

My wife and I celebrated our 15th Anniversary here, our second time dining at the Webster House. Overall, a wonderful experience. I love this place. The minute I walked in, I felt like I went back in time and I loved it. I love the idea of having a shop downstairs and dining upstairs (they have an elevator). The food and the service was delicious and it was fresh. It was all around nice , even the bathroom. The portions were... More

Before going to the ballet, my family and I decided to stop by the Webster House for dinner. It did not disappoint. The house is gorgeous and has an amazing gift shop full of beautiful things. The dining area was equally beautiful. The food was great and the service spectacular. For an appetizer we ordered the three spreads with crostini;... More

Went to the Webster House for Mother's Day. First time I had eaten there. Had the asparagus spring onion soup. It was bland. The kids had a salad whose greens were rusty and way past prime. I decided on the filet Benedict. The potato cake was cold and the steak was rare (I orderes medium rare). Luckily the dessert buffet... More

Lovely space, good food and friendly service. Pretty shop on first floor that was even more pricey than the restaurant. Seemed out of the norm for KC. Dessert was just ok. Scallops were really good. Wine list was decent.

I had the scallops and my husband had the salmon - crazy for KC, right? We both thought it was some of the freshest seafood we had ever tasted. The ambiance in this refurbished schoolhouse was amazing. It's worth taking the time to get there early and explore the shops downstairs. Dress up and celebrate - this place is worth... More

We were here for a business lunch, and it was a first time visit for us both. The setting looks a little intimidating right off the bat--huge brick building, beautifully kept. And I was initially a little put off by the antique shops on the first floor of the building, as it had kind of an overly mature, frumpy feel... More

This old school has become a nice restaurant and antique/curio shop. Imagine a very chic "Cracker Barrel", (a place I never eat). Great food with nice ambiance. Good for lunch.

The reputation of the Webster House as a lunch hangout for older ladies may certainly be true, but that doesn't mean a group of 20-somethings can't stop in to enjoy one of the hidden brunch gems of Kansas City. Made brunch reservations for a Sunday morning for a group of five and we weren't quite sure what to expect. As... More

My first time to the Webster house was an amazing overall experience. The food was excellent, the boutique shops have such a variety and the staff is very attentive.
