We made a reservation for dinner prior to attending the Trans Siberian Orchestra. The atmosphere was lively, although not too loud. The food was excellent.

I took 5 of my family to Grunauer the day after Christmas for a late lunch. The dining room is visually pleasing. The service was very good - friendly and attentive but allowed us to have a leisurely meal with lots of discussion. The food was very good. My wife's onsite smoked salmon was excellent. The coffee was also excellent.... More

We have been to this German restaurant several times. The service is always good and the food predictable. Recently I had their German Spelt soup. It was delicious. I usually get the pork schnitzel I do wish they would serve some type of sauce with it because on its own it is a little dry

I had heard good things about Grunauers but, not being a huge fan of German/Austrian food and with a vegetarian wife, I had pushed it down the priority list. Wrong. The menu is diverse enough to accommodate many tastes and very well prepared. My wife had an excellent mushroom entrée. My Hungarian goulash was tasty if not spectacular. Good atmosphere.... More

First time visit for lunch today. Some of the food tasted very good; my pork schnitzel was moist and tender although the cold potato salad was not to my taste (a bit of mustard and a lot of vinegar, I think). It was a little off-putting to discover partway through the meal that 2 of us had water glasses that... More

Tried Grunauer for KC Restaurant Week. No idea why it has taken us so long to eat here, for heaven's sake! It was excellent! I was very impressed by food quality and the service was great, and the ambiance was also really nice. I would probably get a different entree next time, I went with the traditional pork schnitzel, and... More

We went during "restaurant week" to try some great German food. We were not disappointed. We had Schweinbraten (pork roast on red cabbage), Schnitzel (fried pork), salad and apple strudel. The apple strudel was pretty lame, but the rest was top quality German food. The place has a nice atmosphere and seems to be always crowded. They have a nice... More

We went during "restaurant week". One of the specials was salmon which was excellent. Another was a sirloin. The cut of meat made it inedible. 2 at our table ordered and they were both the same. Nice experience but probably won't go back as the price was beyond the quality of food.
