I really loved this restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and make you feel comfortable. My wife and I had the seltzer. It was one of the best pork plates I ever had. The service is attentive and neat. I recommend this place and we will be coming back soon.

As a person who has traveled to Austria at least 7 times with a few extended trips lasting longer then a week or two, I believe I have a small claim to being a little familiar with the cuisine of such a beautiful and diverse country rich with culture, history, and tradition. Frequently, I crave the foods I have enjoyed... More

We have been to Grunauer four times in the past five months - including a Christmas outing with our adult children. Always a superb experience. The Schnitzels all are tasty, the salads fresh and the apple strudel excellent. Service is attentive but intrusive and the ambiance is very pleasant. Groups as large as perhaps 16 could fit, although this is... More

We had a wonderful lunch with excellent service. The menu was varied with many options. The salad was exceptionally fresh with a house dressing. We tried the beer cheese soup and a pork dish that were great. I chose a meat stuffed ravioli that was the special of the day. The dessert special for the day was a bread pudding... More

Ate dinner there with business friends and enjoyed it quite a bit. Jimmy, our server was very attentive and helpful. I took a meal of the veal liver home to hubby, and instead of

We arrived in KC on a Friday afternoon after driving 7.5 hours from Chicago. We wanted something small to tide us over before dinner. We ordered 2 drinks, and a Bavarian pretzel. Our waiter brought us the 2 drinks and seemed to forget the pretzel until we reminded him. He brought us 2 hot pretzels and some mustard, but for... More

When you mention Austrian dining, I am sure most people think it is like German Food. While there are similarities, it is really quite different, sure there are Spaetzle and sausage, the menu contains so much more. We had lunch here, and the portions were great. The food, without exception, was simply wonderful. This is quite the hidden secret, a... More

We are recovering from multiple complications from surgery. So went new place away. The food was very good. I had the chicken cordan blue schnitzel with red cabbage. My husband had the special schnitzel with basil spaghetti. Very generous portions, all flavors great. Service is slow even for a glass of wine since no root beer liquor available for root... More
