I am a bit of a BBQ snob and I don't necessarily love what everyone else does. That being said, I think Winslow's is a very good BBQ joint. I wouldn't necessarily say it follows the traditional rules of Kansas City BBQ, but it takes its own flavor filled twist on the subject. I highly recommend the wings and pulled... More

After visiting the Steamboat Arabia museum and wandering around in City Market, we decided to try the barbecue at Winslow's, which is located on the corner of City Market. The pulled pork was excellent, juicy and tasty. KC barbecue sauce is sweeter than the sauce we get in Houston but it has a nice background heat. I thoroughly enjoyed the... More

Stopped in during prime dinner time on a Saturday. There were no other patrons the entire time we were there. The manager tried to be pleasant. Pulled Pork sandwiches were unremarkable and skimpy with way too much bun. The 1/2 slab of ribs were plentiful and tasty but there are better options around town for the same money. Drinks (beer... We ate at. Winslows for lunch today. The service was atrocious, and the food was worse. We had to flag down our server to order, then again to inquire about our order. Neighboring tables that arrived 10 min after we ordered were served before we were. When we asked our server about our order she said the kitchen lost it.... More

Recently arrived to the KC area and exploring the City Market for the first time, my wife and I were enchanted by the phenomenal smells originating from Winslow's. Originally committed to Italian, we instead switched to Winslow's. Bottom line - we were not disappointed. Winslow's does not, as others have claimed below, serve stale buns, processed meat, rancid sauce nor... More

Of all the places in the market we picked this spot to eat. The service was OK the food left us wishing we had not. The Arabia steam boat Museum was great though.

Yuck...we got the three meats with two sides dinner. The dirty table should have been my first clue but that has never scared me off if the food is good. The "roasted corn" was day old boiled corn, the ribs were tender but too salty, the cole slaw was watery and tasteless and the brisket and pork were dry and... More

This seemed an appealing place for lunch -- outdoor tables in a bustling City Market. We sat at a table and the oilcloth table cloth was sticky and smelled badly. We moved and things were worse. Waitress was happy and pleasant and our food -- the daily pulled pork special -- was out promptly. Folks, this is NOT Kansas City... More

Extra pulled pork and extra good service is what you'll receive at this spot. You will not be unhappy with any side you choose, either. After a yummy lunch you can head right out the door to the Farmers Market.
