I have dined here several times. The atmosphere and friendly staff are the best parts of this restaurant. My most recent meal was not as good as previous ones. The baked potato was dry and the green beans a bit bland. The steak was tender and flavorful. The osso bucco was tender but not so flavorful. I have had the... More

Unfortunately at State Line Rd and 435, and signage is an issue. The people who go there know the place and return again and again and bring new friends. It is easy to miss on the South-East side of 435. Food is uniformly good BUT in candor had a bad meal once mid week when ?? was running the kitchen,... More

EBT is simply one of the best restaurants in Kansas City, with no qualifications necessary. It achieves its preeminence with nary a nod toward culinary fashion or glance at what they are doing on the coasts. If everything old is new again, then EBT deserves a fresh wave of admiration for daring to remain steadfastly focused on serving outstanding food... More

EBT remains reliably excellent for its menu, food quality, service and ambience. From the toasted Brie puff pastry appetizers to the choice and price range of entrees, this is a terrific menu. The General a Manager greeted and seated us, and a waiter who had not seen us for months recognized us.

The entertainment was amazing and the food was awesome. However, for the second time, the service was slow and in attentive. We won't be going out of the way to go back again.

Had not been to been to the restaurant in years. A group of 60 year old from high school who remembered the old department store and thought it would be fun. Knowing that it was on the expensive side for a casual lunch, we expected great service. What a disappointment. There were very few people in the place and the... More

We made reservations at this long established restaurant because I had not been. It's a quaint restaurant with interior decorations saved from the very old department store, Emory Bird Thayer. We had the Valentine menu. Everything was beautifully seasoned and prepared. Very nice attention to detail and great dinner service. Very expensive for sure but a nice experience.

A large group luncheon here & everything was fabulous-service, food, atmosphere! Quiet so everyone could talk without difficulty hearing. Staff very cordial. Definitely will return. Prices comparable to other nice restaurants in Mission Farms.

My wife and I ate here on New Year's Eve. She had the sea bass and I had the tenderloin Both were very good and had ample side portions. The service was a shade slow but the restaurant was jammed for NYE.
