Food and service amazing...but watch for hidden charges

Truly enjoyed lunch at restaurant week. The salad was pretty good, but the trout almondine was outstanding. Perfectly cooked and delicious with rice and a crispy slaw. The dessert was a little surprise....simply a tiny truffle on a plate with a dime sized dab of whipped crème. It was very good... read more

Came here after several neighbors told us about the place. The food, serves and ambiance is just excellent. A pleasant dinner place and we will return. All of the starters and mains were cooked to perfection and the wine pour by the glass was huge. Reservations are a must. The food is a bit pricey for the area, but the... More

For some reason I hadn't been here since the mid-1980's. I'm glad I finally went back for lunch with a friend. The food was great and it was such a nice and quiet atmosphere where we could visit easily. I definitely won't wait 30 years to go again!

We ate here with about 15 colleagues for lunch. The service was excellent, great food and the portions were really ample. Most had to-go bags.

This is probably my favorite happy hour hang out that includes incredible live entertainment, great food, and beverages. One of the best bar tenders in the area. There is a happy hour menu that is good to 7pm plus full menu until closing. I have been coming here for lunch, dinner, and happy hour for more years than I care... More

EBT is a romantic restaurant tucked away in a nondescript bank building next to a major freeway, but WOW what a great place it is with equally great food. The name comes from the abbreviation of an old department building, Emery Bird Thayer, opened in 1890 in downtown Kansas City. The building was closed in 1968. The restaurant currently houses... My wife and I enjoyed great food, wine and entertainment at EBT's this past weekend. Roz (and Nathan) performed and made the evening very special. Mr. Royce, the restaurant manager, introduced us to a great wine and the pairings were perfect.

EBT Restaurant Mr. Dave Royce, GM 1310 Carondelet Drive Kansas City, MO 64114 Dear Dave, Revisiting great remembrances from long ago! Last evening my wife and I decided to celebrate our 26 anniversary at the historic EBT, which was incidentally, as newlyweds, was one of the first fine dining restaurants we ever visited. I must say, with all the fine... More

I have dined here several times. The atmosphere and friendly staff are the best parts of this restaurant. My most recent meal was not as good as previous ones. The baked potato was dry and the green beans a bit bland. The steak was tender and flavorful. The osso bucco was tender but not so flavorful. I have had the... More

Unfortunately at State Line Rd and 435, and signage is an issue. The people who go there know the place and return again and again and bring new friends. It is easy to miss on the South-East side of 435. Food is uniformly good BUT in candor had a bad meal once mid week when ?? was running the kitchen,... More
