Tasty, Down to Earth

We ordered the chicken schwarma sandwich and the chicken kabob sandwich. Both were fabulous, tasty, but also healthy. Just the right amount of food and all so good. Very down to early people & location, nothing pretentious just good cookin'!

Absolutely unexpected. We used to come here years ago, and it used to be good. So recently we were doing a daily lamb crawl to find the best out there. It was Valentine's night and I ordered the Lamb kebabs to-go for the hubby. He told me it tasted like dog food, way too chewy, extremely dry, & tasted like... More

I knew I needed to try it the minute I walked by it and saw a couple enjoying their amazing-looking platter in the window. The look on their faces was like something off a billboard. I walked in and the place smelled like heaven; I instantly knew I was going to like it. I ordered the lamb kabobs which was... More

It is a great place not to eat only but to enjoy eating also. They have a verity of middle eastern dishes. Without a doubt, it deserves a visit.

Good friendly service. Food was tasty. The lentil soup was mighty fine and the swarma is especially flavorful.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday, and it was even better that I expected! I'd eaten here several times before, but it had been about a year since my last visit. Ordered the chicken curry from the lunch menu. Had a choice of a Greek salad or lentil soup to accompany my entrée. Tough choice, but I took the salad. It... More

I absolutely love when I find a quality, clean, unique eatery off the beaten path. Hence when the Jerusalem Cafe & Bakery and I crossed paths. This place is on a busy street in the Westport area of Kansas City. But don't let the storefront fool you. Introduced to this great place by my hubby, I was very impressed. One... More

Spent the day antiquing in the old warehouse district and was pleasantly surprised to find the Jerusalem Cafe's food truck! A couple of us asked for something not exactly on the menu and they graciously fixed it! And quickly. It was great fun and made us want to go back!

Night 3 of our business trip found me and my 3 colleagues looking for tastes of the mid-east. Turns out the most exotic foods they have tried prior to this trip were Greek. Jerusalem Café offers a pretty good variety at average prices. For $20 I ordered the Jerusalem feast, I highly recommend it for others who lack decision making... More
