This place is a bit pretentious, and charges for that feeling. Their food is nice, the oysters are great (and expensive), the fish is nice, their "chocolate bag" is a tasty dessert presentation, and on and on. We've gone there to celebrate holidays - then the bill doesn't seem as bothersome. Still, the tradeoff of price vs. quality seems a... More

The service is always exceptional and the food is top notch. What always impresses me is that the food and service are exceptionally good. I love knowing I can come and have a wonderful experience. The lemon drop martini is the best.

I had a good experience. The food is good but you'll pay for it. Go during lunch when it is cheaper. Beware, the appetizers are small, especially the shrimp kisses (4 bacon wrapped shrimp).

The food was excellent but the private dining area was freezing and despite repeated requests from our dinner party, the air conditioning was not turned off or down.

We stopped by for a few drinks during happy hour. After selections were made and a few beers were drunk, we were surprised at the amount of the bill. Even though we were told that the beers we selected we on happy hour, the bill showed regular price. After bringing it to the attention of our bartender, his response was,... More

We had limited time before heading to the game. We stopped in for happy hour at the bar. We had appetizers and cold drinks. The food was great, the service was fast, and it was perfect.

I sat at the bar and ordered a salad, steak and glass of wine. The wine was an awful pairing. The steak was good but not worth $35. The mashed potatoes were dried out and chalky. I don't mind paying for good food, this was mediocre at best. The worst part was watching the bartender pass a dirty glass tray... More

The restaurant is an excellent spot to for the atmosphere and the mere experience but the food lacks quality and succulence. The best part of our meal was the oysters! Great selection from different coasts. The greatness stops there. The shark and halibut were all but bland and tasteless. The lobster bisque was overly salty. I will have to say... More

We were visiting Kansas City for a convention and we're looking for a place to entertain customers. Someone suggested we come to this steakhouse. It is housed in Kansas City's historic Plaza area. The steaks were great but I was surprised they did not have baked potatoes. Instead the restaurant offered lobster mashed potatoes and they were awesome. Service was... More

By far the best part of my trip. From top to bottom our visit was outstanding. I love to cook, so it's hard to beat a home cooked meal, but this put my cooking to shame. Every single element of our experience exceeded my expectations. The food was delicious, the service impeccable.
