Good, but I've Had Better Service

We went on a Sunday afternoon. I am not sure what happened, but they said they were low on kitchen staff and one of the cooks left as we got there. The waiter was busy and made a lot of excuses. The food was good. We love the chocolate bag desert. It is unbelievable!

We dined here before the Barry Manilow concert and had wonderful food and great service. I highly recommend the Filet Mignon steak for dinner and the Famed Signature dessert called the "Chocalate Bag" which is filled with fresh fruit and sweet filling.

We really loved this place! The inside was beautiful and had a great ambiance. The service was excellent from the time we arrived up until we paid and left. We arrived a bit late but we called in to let them know and it was no problem, traffic was horrible on the plaza. The food was pretty good too. Looking... More

I was there for a business dinner with limited menu. I was able to try the Romano encrusted chicken, beef medallions and the salmon I ordered. All were delicious. But the big surprise was the Crème Brule for dessert. Outstanding!

We took our son out for his birthday and this was his choice. All the staff we encountered were pleasant and greeted us as we walked through the restaurant to our table. Our waiter, Cedric, was especially personable and we enjoyed having him as our server. He did a great job, also, of recommending a wine based on the flavor... More

And that's the reason for the 3 stars. Seafood in the midwest just doesn't work. Filets of flounder and tilapia overcooked and over seasoned. The calamari is good. The chowder is thick and sweet. The location overlooks the plaza. The dining room has ornate glass ceiling.

This is one of the best in KC Mo.. Beautiful stain glass ceiling and fantastic variety of food. Nice days you can eat or happy hour outside. Well worth hitting happy hour prices. Easy walking distance from anywhere on the plaza. Try the lemon drop martini you won't be disappointed.

We went for Happy hour. It was very busy as we discovered it was Restaurant Week. After waiting we got seats at the bar and had drinks and appetizers. She had the Mussels, and I had the Lettuce Wraps. I really enjoyed the Lettuce Wraps, but she said the Mussels lacked flavor. The stained glass ceiling was beautiful.

Do the "Lump Crab stuffed shrimp" ! We both got it and loved it. Comes with "Red Pepper White Cheddar Mash" which is actually some tasty, cheesy mashed potatoes. I could eat those things for breakfast!! The coffee was pretty generic. Easiest parking is up the hill on north side of this Plaza location restaurant.
