A fun but loud environment with OK service and OK food. I like Italian food but am not an Italian cuisine connoisseur, so maybe the food was great to some tastes but for mine it was just OK. Wine selection was adequate.

Terribly disappointing. My friend who has lived in KC was so looking forward to taking us here; a favorite of he and his wife. I hope he does not read this. The stuffed artichoke that we shared was tasty and up to expectations. My antipasto was dismal. Three fried mozzarella sticks and several lifeless slices of deli meats and a... More

The restaurant is not in the best place of downtown but it is worthy to go. As soon as you get in, you have that feeling of entering a restaurant with a lot of history and very cozy. I usually go here for lunch because there is too many people at dinner. The menu is simple but the plates are... More

Hadn't been to Garozzo's for years and we were looking for someplace different for lunch. Problem solved. Arrived shortly after 11:00 and were among the first to be seated. By the time we finished, the dining room was pretty full. So others were impressed. We ordered the sausage & peppers and meatball sandwiches. Also tried the Salata Santa Teresa. The... More

Had the opportunity to try this KC institution this week and came away impressed. Great menu, desserts and ambiance. The neighborhood setting adds to the charm. A friendly and knowledgeable staff topped things off. Be sure to give them a try!

Garozzo has been around KC for many years, and will remain. Though some of the suburban restaurants may not always be as consistently good as the Columbus Park venue, it's still very decent Italo-American chow. I most recently visited the restaurant in Overland Park near the Double Tree hotel. Staff, atmosphere, etc. was good, though the persistent Frankie is getting... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our convention services person at a local hotel. It's located in a sketchy area of town, but is fantastic, and authentic, Italian food. I REALLY enjoyed the Gabriella and found the spicy sauce has just the right amount of spice. My wife enjoyed the lasagna and we agreed it was the best lasagna... More

Local Kansas City friends brought us to this unassuming (from the exterior) restaurant, and we were delighted by the dishes from southern Italy. If you're a garlic lover, you should not miss the Sicilian Garlic Dip. Personally, I could have made a whole meal of their delicious, crispy-crust, soft-middle bread and the garlic dip. The portions are quite large, so... More
