Worth the Trip for the Sicilian Garlic Dip Alone

If you're a garlic lover, you should not miss the Sicilian Garlic Dip. Personally, I could have made a whole meal of their delicious, crispy-crust, soft-middle bread and the garlic dip. I just had my second meal at Garozzo's. I was in town for business and took 5 others out for a great lunch. Most of the table had variations of the fantastic Spiedini dishes they serve up. Everyone enjoyed it very much. The service was fast, I coudln't ask for anything more.

Garozzo's is a very small restaurant in the lower level of an older building. The dining room might hold 60 people. Be sure you have reservations because the food is really good and it will be crowded. We had a number of items on the menu including Mike's Diet Chicken, the Spiedini di Pollo Georgio, the shrimp Spiedini Maggie and... More

I had the chicken spiedini with fettuccine diablo sauce (called the Gabrielle) dinner. When the server (Jay) brought my plate to the table, I couldn't believe how large the portion was. There were 7 of us in our group and the everyone's plates were huge! There were 6 large pieces of chicken spiedini on my plate. I wasn't able to... More

Ate here on advice of locals. Great service and atmosphere. Start with Sicilian artichoke . I loved it and I don't eat artichoke. Had great lasagna, seafood canneloni, and veal picatta. Lemoncello cake fantastic

Mike Garozzo is the real deal....maybe you've seen Artie on the Sopranos or some other depiction of Italian cooking but this place is truly the real deal. Jersey has nothing on KC when it comes to real Italian cuisine. Trust me, I live in New Jersey and this is a place that even has a plaque with my Dad's name... More

The spendini is FANULOUS - my favorite is Georgiana. For my 'momentous' birthday, my husband had this catered for a dinner in our home with friends! It was so wonderful!

I had a choice of two restaurants this night, but this actually was a little closer to where we were staying (Harrah's KC) It was the best choice we could have made! The wine was excellent and some 'secret' ingredient after dinner drink! I asked if my talapia which was stated on the menu grilled, could be breaded in something... More

I love it that it's located at the Italian neighborhood in KC; it added more authenticity. The decoration is so soothing. We went there the day before Valentine's Day to celebrate VD. We didn't want to go on VD because we don't like too much crowd (and the waitress told us last Valentine's day the place was crowded she could... More

We tried a couple things on the menu and really LOVED their ravioli and the meatballs!!! The atmosphere was amazing, I honestly felt like I was in an old Italian movie! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
