Reuniting in the States

I recently went to Garozzo's with a couple of friends I met while in Italy last year. We were all English tutors who explored the country together, so when we met up for a reunion in KC, we had to have an Italian dinner. Garozzo's was perfect. As soon as you walk up to Garozzo's front door , you inhale the most wonderful aromas of the food being cooked up in the kitchen. When you open the to go in, for me it was just like walking into a Phila Italian restaurant. Sinatra and Dino softly crooning in the background. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. This... More

We happened upon this place by accident. It is in a part of town that we don't frequent. We are so glad that we found it. It is by far the best Italian food that I've had in recent memory. The atmosphere is romantic, the service is impeccable, and the food is very memorable. You have to try their signature... More

On your way to this restaurant, you will wonder why your GPS is taking you to some crazy residential area. You'll park on the side of the road beside some apartments. And then you'll have an incredible meal. Let me help you with your ordering: spiedini. There are going to be lots of very appealing choices on the menu. You... More

Everything I ate was a flavorful surprise. From the wedding soup to the piedini di pollo, I kept finding myself saying, Wow! The only thing that wasn't my favorite was the red sauce, which was a little sweet for me. Otherwise, definitely one of the best, if not the best, Italian restaurants I've been to.

True Itailian food, location is out of the way, but worth the time to find. The wait staff treats you as if you are family. Always willing to make your order just like you want. I had Atkins spedini. It was, as always, excellent. Generous portions, if a tad pricy. It can get crowded, so you may wish to call... More

Look, I know that title will sound extreme but let me just tell you my mouth is watering while I write this four days after I ate there. I've been dozens of times way back to when I was a kid right after it opened. The Spiedini is to kill for. The pasta three ways is topped with the best... More

I came to this beautiful place with my sister and mother. Samantha was the best waitress; knowing what we needed before we did.Everything from the wine to the salads and appetizers blew us away. When our entree got here we just wanted Samantha to sit and chat with us. Love this place. Can't wait to come back. Best Italian menu... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by my husband coworkers. Yum, yum. This is a very small restaurant so I do highly recommend reservations. We went on a Wednesday night at 730p. I was surprised by the amount of people waiting for a table. Glad we had reservations. I ordered the house salad (it was good) and Spiedini Georgio (absolutely... More

Old school Italian in an old, formerly Italian neighborhood across the Interstate from Downtown KC. Old School. Incredible food. I can eat, and eat, and eat. I have never been disappointed. Elegant, Godfather style dining room. Very friendly wait staff that is on top of their game. The menu is fairly extensive. Food is of excellent quality and very good.... More
