One of the most iconic BBQ spots in KC. A must when in town. This is what KC BBQ is all about, large portions of excellent BBQ served cafeteria style. Seeing the old smoke pit behind the counter is great, especially as they are pulling out large slabs of meat. Highly recommended and will go back whenever I have a... More

Before a recent trip to Kansas City, I did some research into BBQ restaurants. An article in the Wall Street Journal gave Arthur Bryant's very high marks. Another online article I found confirmed that rating. I visited the Arthur Bryant's at 1727 Brooklyn Avenue. It is just off I-70, an easy on and off the freeway and easy to find.... More

The prices seemed a little high until we received our plate of food, we ordered the beef sandwich and fries, the sandwich was piled high with beef and extra bread was given. The fries were fresh cut and were good, the BBQ sauce options are great, a little tast for everyone. Yes, the place was loud, but the atmosphere was... More

A co-worker recommended AB's as I mentioned I would be traveling through Kansas City. I simply took him at his word as it was easy to access right off the interstate. Had I looked at Trip Advisor, I might have been a little more prepared for my experience which would have made it less stressful. I arrived a little early... More

This was very "KC style BBQ"! The meat was great, but the sauce is very vinegar-y. I recommend lunch because it has bars around the parking lot, so I don't know if there is a crime problem or what...

This would be considered a dive. When we walked in it appeared dirty and dingy. However, this type of place tends to look like this. The service of the food was very slow and our food was thrown on a plastic service tray because they had run out of plates. It would have been nice if a piece of wax... More

We wanted to try authentic KC BBQ and this was our choice to visit. We were not disappointed! The portions are tremendous and they serve "Burnt Ends" which is my all-time favorite! They had three choices for sauce and I tried them all. The original was by far my favorite!

We went to Arthur Bryant's during a baseball weekend in the quest of going to a couple of different BBQ places (we did hit 2!), and based on recommendations. Overall, we enjoyed the food and experience. The establishment has been around for a while, and it is definitely no-nonsense...which I liked a lot. Nothing pretentious....order your food at the counter,... More

OK, so this place was on Triple D and it fall's under D number 3. The place is definitely divvy. The food was good but certainly no WoW factor here. I've had better B-B-Q and I've had worse. I had the brisket sandwich with fries. The portions are huge. You could easily share a sandwich with a friend and walk... More

A good KC BBQ place. Their portions are large and it is some of the best BBQ in KC. It's one of those places that you have to try when coming to KC. Ribs are recommended.
