I heard this was one of the top three BBQ places to go in KC. I was on a business trip with two other co-workers and we were looking for a place to eat dinner. I found Arthur Bryant's BBQ. The staff was warm and friendly. Allowed us to sample the meats since this was our first time, and wasn't... More

Had heard this was "the" place to go for good bbq in KC so we decided to stop in on a recent trip. We won't be back... Maybe the other location is better, but this place is nasty. The meats were actually good and tasted as though they had been smoked. Fries were old... Definitely not fresh, and lacking any... More

Presidents and famous people come here to eat, what else can I say? The food is excellent, the service is fast. The place is old and has lots of neat photos lining the walls of famous people who have graced the building with their presence. I would warn you that the lines get long and the floors get oily from... More

When in the Big Easy you eat a Po Boy. When in the City by the Bay you buy Sourdough. And so in the city made famous by cattle and hogs, you must do the KC Barbeque. Bryant's is the place KC Barbeque was invented back in the 1930's. Go to the original 18th and Brooklyn location. It is plain... More

I was in KC in early November and asked my hosts for a dinner at an authentic KC BBQ joint. After some discussion we were down to two choices and chose Arthur Bryants. The six of us (4 visitors, 2 "natives") got there in the early evening, spent a couple of minutes blocking the line as we tried to figure... More

If you're a barbecue fan, you have to go to Arthur Bryant's. Calvin Trillin called it the best barbecue restaurant in America, and he's on the mark. It's traditional, old-school Kansas City Barbecue.

We love to carry out Arthur Bryants when we are in the area of the original Bryants at 17 and Brooklyn or their Legends location in Kansas City, KS.

Arthur Bryant's Restaurant is still in it's original location at 18th and Brooklyn, since the early days of baseball in Kansas City. Friends of ours from out of town often ask us to bring sandwiches to them when we visit. Your favorite meats, slapped between 2 pieces of bread, paint-brushed with sauce, a handful of pickles, and rolled up in... More

OK. Let's get this straight: This restaurant is not in the best part of town. (But you are completely safe.) There are big bottles of barbecue sauce sitting in the store front window because that's how they cure it. No one will serve you. You have to stand in line. You will not get a plate. You get a sheet... More
