I thought I had great ribs before. Arthur Bryant's proved just how mistaken I was. When we were planning our trip to KC, we knew that we must make sure to visit Arthur Bryant's because of their legendary reputation of being the pioneer of KC-style BBQ. The line was long, but it moved fast and the smoky delicious smell enveloping... More

It's nice from a historic approach. The Barbecue did not live up to it's billing. If you go get the ribs. The ribs are the best thing I had on the menu.

It's been more than 30 years since I read Calvin Trillin's essay calling Arthur Bryant's the best restaurant in America. Clearly hyperbole, but that put it on my "to do" list. I made the original location (18th and Brooklyn) my first stop after arriving in KC, and wasn't disappointed. You take a plate, give your order at a window, and... More

We were in town for the week babysitting our nephew, while me sister work at Slills USA. We went to Arthur Bryants as a family. Long line but move very quickly. Cafeteria style works here. We all loved the food, even my 4 year old nephew. We got a like of just about everything. Worth the trip and the wait.

As usual, there was a line out the door. But don't let that stop you or you'll miss the best ribs ever! While in line, enjoy the dives decor of pictures and articles on famous people who have had a rib or two there. Friendly staff at the window taking your order. Make sure you get fries with that plate!... More

I had heard plenty of glowing accolades from friends about this place. So, my expectations were pretty high. I was not disappointed. We got there on a Sunday, a little before noon. There was about 20 people waiting in line ahead of us. By 12:15, the line was down the street. We got some ribs and pulled pork. It was... More

Good BBQ. IDK how they charged, i think they just made up the pricing, but it wasn't too expensive. A dive w good food, and pictures of lots of celebrities and presidents who've eaten there on the walls. Fun and filling, overall.

The last time we were here, about 3 years ago, the ribs were undoubtedly the best that we have ever had. On this trip from PA to NM we literally drove about 100 miles out of the way to eat here again, but were somewhat disappointed. The ribs are still pretty good, but nowhere as good as we remember them.

The service was very good, and the restaurant was clean. My daughter and I shared a meal and the servers were more than willing to provide us with an additional plate. The tables provide 3 different sauces to allow us to make our selection. Portions were large. I enjoyed the side of potato salad while she had fries. The combo... More
