This would be considered a dive. When we walked in it appeared dirty and dingy. However, this type of place tends to look like this. The service of the food was very slow and our food was thrown on a plastic service tray because they had run out of plates. It would have been nice if a piece of wax... More

We wanted to try authentic KC BBQ and this was our choice to visit. We were not disappointed! The portions are tremendous and they serve "Burnt Ends" which is my all-time favorite! They had three choices for sauce and I tried them all. The original was by far my favorite!

We went to Arthur Bryant's during a baseball weekend in the quest of going to a couple of different BBQ places (we did hit 2!), and based on recommendations. Overall, we enjoyed the food and experience. The establishment has been around for a while, and it is definitely no-nonsense...which I liked a lot. Nothing pretentious....order your food at the counter,... More

OK, so this place was on Triple D and it fall's under D number 3. The place is definitely divvy. The food was good but certainly no WoW factor here. I've had better B-B-Q and I've had worse. I had the brisket sandwich with fries. The portions are huge. You could easily share a sandwich with a friend and walk... More

A good KC BBQ place. Their portions are large and it is some of the best BBQ in KC. It's one of those places that you have to try when coming to KC. Ribs are recommended.

We were traveling through Kansas City and had heard about the wonderful bbq at Arthur Bryant's so we planned a stop and we are glad we did! I believe this is the original location so it's nothing fancy - the food does all the impressing. The portions are huge and selection of meats is great. We had the rib tips... More

We were traveling thru and decided to try KC BBQ. Wow!!! Great flavor, huge portions. We had the burnt ends, pulled pork and chicken. It was all wonderful. Guys in the line were working hard! This family from TN loves this place!

My family stopped in for dinner on our way through town, after researching best BBQ in kc. The place was quite crowded at nearly 8:00 on a thursday night. The portions were large and so my family of 6 was able to share 3 sandwiches w fries. The bill for 3 sandwiches was nearly $40 (no drinks). A little pricey!... More

Was here yesterday with my family around 11:30am after King Tut Exhibit at Union Station. The line was short. That was the highlight...so to speak. As others noted, I felt the staff was rude and left us little time to decide what to order. I've eaten at a lot of bbq restaurants in the South that put this joint to... More

Of course one comes here for the ambiance (poverty) but nonetheless one expects some good ribs. No doubt they know how to make them but they are overwhelmed with the number of customers. The ribs we got were cold dry and dull -- I suspect that they stockpile awaiting the evening rush and then dole out ribs they cooked an... More
