Ok, I understand that people think I am crazy to pay $18 for a French Dip sandwich, but they have never had one at Houston's. They slice their prime rib super thin and pile it high on an amazing fresh roll - it's a small piece of Heaven! They have amazing ribs, Hawaiian Rib Eyes and Chicken fingers - yes... More

This restaurant was recommended by a local resident and it did not disappoint. My husband had the KC steak special and I had the prime rib. It melted in my mouth and my husband said his was delicious. Good selection of wine and beer with great ambience. Defintely recommend this place. The only surprise was no bread served prior to... Excellent service and food was so yummy. Shared a bottle of wine and steak. Thought the sideof veggies was small. That would be my only complaint

Really enjoyed the food at Houston's with friends recently. I had never been there and was surprised by the overall quality and quantity of food served. I had a steak, and it was delicious, as was the baked potato. The salad was also tasty. Totally shocked that desserts only included three items, all of which did not sound appetizing and... More

Although there is a wait, the food is absolutely worth it. However, I was concerned to see young children sitting at the bar. There needs to be a larger waiting area for families so that patrons of the bar can actually have a place to sit and drink.

Being from Kansas City, the undisputed King of Bar-B-Que, we know BBQ!! The ribs at Houston are simply stated awesome! They are baby back ribs that fall off the bone where you will not need a knife at all. If you plan to eat them off the bone, the way ribs should be eaten, be prepared as they simply fall... More

Houston's may be the only chain restaurant I visit. I don't go often, but I'm nearly always pleased when I do. Finally tried the prime rib, which I'll rate 8/10. It was cooked to specification and was a prime, decent-sized cut, so the $30 price tag was acceptable. But I always miss the Houston's veggie burger when I don't order... More

While on a business trip in Kansas City, my customer took me to dinner at Houston’s Restaurant in the Kansas City Country Club Plaza area. The entire Plaza area is loaded with upscale restaurants and clothing stores, which makes it a very nice place to visit. I had seen Houston’s Restaurant in several other large cities, but I had never... More

We used to have a Houston's in Nashville, TN, but it closed. When we saw them in the Country Club Plaza area, we knew that's where dinner was going to be at. The hostess and wait staff were great and the food was awesome.

Hamburger was great, prime rib dip just ok not much flavor. Crab cakes very good but not worth $30. Atmosphere was very dark, wait time was exact. Pop comes in a bottle, so don't expect refills. Have complimentary bread, but was offered any.
