Description: The Majestic Restaurant carries on the Kansas City traditions of great food and great jazz. We serve brunch Saturday and Sunday, lunch Monday-Friday, and dinner seven nights a week. Featuring Kansas City's best dry-aged beef, chops, and seafood and located in the historic Fitzpatrick Saloon building at 10th and Broadway in downtown Kansas City, The Majestic Restaurant offers a true Kansas City dining experience like no other. Enjoy a great steak and fine wine in our main dining room alongside a grand bar dating back to 1910, or have dinner in our lower level jazz club, the site of an actual speakeasy during prohibition, all while listening to some of Kansas City's best jazz musicians seven nights a week. An extensive wine list, creative cocktails by nationally renowned bartender Shawn Moriarty, a list of over 100 whiskeys, and a sinful selection of delectable homemade desserts provide the perfect accompaniment to the meal and the music.

This was my second time at The Majestic and both meals have been excellent. The restaurant is located in downtown K.C. MO in an old historic building that used to house a speak easy in the basement. Now it has a jazz club there instead. They say previous owners had mob friends. Now it is just a great steak house... More

I really enjoy The Majestic. The steaks are delicious and the service excellent. If you're looking to get away from the chain restaurants, then The Majestic has to be one of your stops when in Kansas City. Located in a historic building, The Majestic serves dinner on the main floor but also a lower floor where live jazz is played... More

We had three couples late this summer, each of us having a Groupon for The Majestic. We called ahead to see if we could all use them, sitting together and were told that it shouldn't a problem. When we arrived (and this was the first time there for some of us) and told the hostess what we were doing she... More

Fabulous steaks! A co-worker is a local to KC and it was my first time there. He said this is one of the best restaurants and he was right! Everything is made to perfection. It's not fast food cheap, but for the quality of the food, I thought it was reasonable. I got the KC Strip steak (that came with... More

The setting was good. Manhattan cocktail expertly prepared. The waitress steered us to the special steak menu, all north of $50. The steak was good not outstanding. Sides were included and adequate. It wasn't quite up to our expectations.

Any visit to KC must include a meal and jazz show at the Majestic Restaurant. The food was delicious and the service top notch. The prices were reasonable and we were entertained by an accomplished Jazz Trio of piano, bass and drums. The restaurant opened in 1911 and served as both a speakeasy and a brothel during its colorful history.... More

Kansas City + Steak + Jazz ... What else could you want? As many others before, we stopped in Kansas City while travelling West. With only one night to have dinner there, the obvious choice was steak and the choice was the admirably named Majestic Restaurant. The restaurant appears largely intact in its early 1900's building and its menu stays... More

The Majestic is located in a turn-of-the-century saloon, belonging to a Mr. Fitzpatrick and, presumably, financed by Boss Tom Pendergast. It's past is pretty shady, with the second floor serving as a brothel and the cellar as a speakeasy during Prohibition. But, all that just adds to the historic ambiance indicated by the mural featuring historic Kansas City celebrities, the... More

Excellent service, top notch wine list and one of the best steaks I've ever had. Try the Prime Rib, it was absolutely fabulous.
