The Majestic Restaurant carries on the Kansas City traditions of great food and great jazz. We serve brunch Saturday and Sunday, lunch Monday-Friday, and dinner seven nights a week. Featuring Kansas City's best dry-aged beef, chops, and seafood and located in the historic Fitzpatrick Saloon building at 10th and Broadway in downtown Kansas City, The Majestic Restaurant offers a true Kansas City dining experience like no other. Enjoy a great steak and fine wine in our main dining room alongside a grand bar dating back to 1910, or have dinner in our lower level jazz club, the site of an actual speakeasy during prohibition, all while listening to some of Kansas City's best jazz musicians seven nights a week. An extensive wine list, creative cocktails by nationally renowned bartender Shawn Moriarty, a list of over 100 whiskeys, and a sinful selection of delectable homemade desserts provide the perfect accompaniment to the meal and the music.

Easy downtown spot to meet people for lunch

I met friends for lunch. Since they all work downtown, we met at The Majestic for its close parking and central location. We met at 11:30 and were the only customers at that time. The service was good. I had the Tilapia lunch special which had a good portion size and tasted fine. I like the... read more

We were starving and looking for a place near our hotel to eat. We walked into The Majestic after 10 pm starving - my husband, mom, daughter and I. We were greeted by the hostess immediately and asked if we could eat. She said the kitchen closed in 17 minutes but we could. We were seated downstairs and had the... More

We had a groupon for brunch at the Majestic. The selection was wonderful. I had a traditional egg Benedict and my husband had beef tip omlete. They both were incredible. The spicy Bloody Marys were perfect. We have eaten here for dinner but this was a nice treat for brunch. We would go back. They have a piano player that... More

Boyfriend & I went to celebrate his birthday. We were less than impressed. Crab cakes are phenomenal, but the rest... eh. My salmon was not cooked properly & inedible. My boyfriend was still eating his $45 KC strip when the bus girl came over & started cleaning our table off. Literally mid bite & she piles trash from the table... More

The overall allure of The Majestic Restaurant is the fact they offer live jazz and provide a unique restaurant space not commonly found in Kansas City...and while the jazz trio was great, the food could be improved. After being seated in the jazz club, we were greeted by a very friendly server, who did an excellent job of ensuring our... More

I dined recently for Sunday brunch, enjoying mimosas and delicious french toast at the bar. This is a small property, seating about 60 or so. It's a good idea to make reservations. A fantastic pianist was at the black & whites starting about 11am playing rags, jazz, blues, and pop tunes. The wait staff were all very friendly and efficient.... More

My wife and I were going to a play so we needed to use an appropriate amount of time at the restaurant. The staff made sure that we were going to make our play even if it was at 7:30. The only thing that I would change at the restaurant is the menu. I would some more variety in side... More

We stopped in for brunch on Saturday. It was Valentine's day but they weren't that busy for lunch. The restaurant has an interesting personality. The staff were very professional and we had very good service. The food was good and we all enjoyed our meals.

I have eaten at the The Majestic in Kansas City, MO several times, the last being on February 10, 2015. This is by far my favorite restaurant when visiting KC. The food, service, drinks, and atmosphere make for a great dining experience. If you want a nice quiet dinner, get seated upstairs. If you want a little live jazz with... More
