Description: Gram & Dun is an American gastropub with culinarily-driven fare, paying special attention to pairing food with libations. It's a place "for the people" where we can relax and enjoy the neighborhood vibe while we test theories of food, drink and the evolution of good times. People need a place that calls to them when they find the time to relax, shrug off the day, and savor a meal that's unique and extraordinary; a place where they feel they belong. Our local owners and staff bring a unique, modern environment to this ideal Plaza location where we have revived the best patio in town, making Gram & Dun an enticing landmark for locals and visitors alike. In addition, Gram & Dun honors the traditional by bringing revered dishes to the forefront and adding our own special touch, and welcomes seasonality by adjusting to the natural changes our tastes succumb to as the year progresses, all in an effort to provide the best to patrons. Gram & Dun: Kansas City's original gastropub.

While shopping in the area, I stumbled upon this brilliant patio café, walked two blocks and came back. There is a beautiful indoor restaurant as well. I ordered the Jackson salad and the smoked apple clam chowder. I was not disappointed. The salad is a grilled romaine half surrounded by heart of palm, artichoke hearts, bacon and blue cheese, topped... More

Everything I've eaten at Gram & Dun was amazing. The Short Rib Grilled Cheese (I do wish they would bring back the raspberry jam instead.) to the Loaded Baked Potato Gnocchi. All so good. I am a huge steak fan, Gram & Dun has the Best Steak at a KC locally owned Restaurant hands down. I have split the Tomahawk... More

Love gastropubs. Was excited by the menu but my meal was just okay. The tater tot was good. But my scallops were over-salted and almost inedible without borrowing some of my partners mash potatoes.

We liked this restaurant so much, we went out of our way to go back two weeks later. The menu is so different from other restaurants offering fun pairings of food (bacon for dessert!) From Vegetarian sandwiches to perfectly cooked steaks, there was something for everyone. I especially loved the beer selection.

Excellent food and service every time I've been. This place never disappoints. If you've never been, go. You won't be sorry you did!

At first put off by the "Gastro Pub" categorization of the place, we had dinner on a Sunday evening, and were pleasantly surprised at the width and breadth of the menu, as well as its originality. As noted in other reviews, their "tator tot" is a wonderful joke on the species, and remarkably good considering how it must be made.... More

Oh goodness, everything that night was perfect! We went to G&D to celebrate my husband and his best friend's 30th birthdays. I chose G&D based on a friend's recommendation. The service we received was amazing! Everyone was so pleasant and helpful, but everyone also had a bit of personality which really added to the evening. At one point when my... More

My wife and I had dinner here on Saturday night. It was classy, but not formal and the staff was attentive, friendly, but not overbearing or obtrusive. The food was also excellent, from the French Onion dumplings (unique, but excellent) to the steak for 2 (which we finished) and dessert as well. If you go for a special occasion, you... More

Gram & Dun is such a perfect location sitting across from Brush Creek it has a magnificent patio that is always full. The chef is constantly updating the menu. I love the pig wings, shrimp and grits are also delicious. The bar had hand squeezed mixers and high quality alchol. Nice wine selection. Lots of difference price choices from appetizers... More
