Poor service, average food, nice date night atmosphere

We went on a Friday evening for food and drinks. Shared four bruschettas to eat and wine to drink. The food was fine, nothing special. The biggest issue I had was the service. When we arrived there were probably five tables that had been used but were yet to be cleaned off. We were there for an... read more

We'd been looking forward to trying The Drop, but it disappointed on several fronts. There might have been an issue with a lot of employees not showing up all on the same day, an unfortunate thing during Restaurant Week, which The Drop had elected to participate in. Our lunch took more than two hours. Our server acted like they had... More

The staff are great - very friendly. We went on a Saturday morning for brunch. The issue we had was that we had to wait a very long time for our order. Since there were only two of us, and the orders were right off the menu, it seemed odd that it took so long. When food was brought to our... More

I ate here last night with a couple friends and we very much enjoyed the food! We shared 3 small plates including the Salmon Cakes, Butcher Block and 4 bruschettas. The butcher block included grapes, apple, crusty bread, meats, cheeses and olives. Everything was fresh and tasted good. The salmon cakes...oh my yum! They were not greasy or oily -... More

Our last evening in Kansas City and we were not really in the mood for a lot of food, we had eaten so well on other nights that we were really wanting something more light, simple and could get in and out before the Friday evening activities got to be too hectic for mature adults. We could have walked to... More

We stopped by here for brunch and was pleasantly surprised. They greated us with a pleasant smile and chit chat. The atmosphere was very cozy and comfortable and the food was delicious. We will definitely go there again.

The Drop was a pretty place with brick and chandeliers and a pretty bar and cute couches in the front. It looked like a nice quiet, dark, romantic place. But it wasn't. The maitre d was dressed in unattractive, sloppy jeans shorts and paid no attention to us until we went up to her at the bar and then she... More

By far one of the best happy hours in the city. Parking is all very close. Cool outdoor patio to sit on. Good beer menu little light on the wine side. Service was very good, couple starters to share and a 30 plate of gastronomy shots. Great time as always.

The Drop is a fairly small, trendy little spot in Martini Corner. Great for weeknight cocktails or an evening out on the weekend. Their food is really good - the Bruchetta allows you to pick four types then you receive four slices of each, so 16 in total. Definitely shareable. The staff are very friendly but a few of the... I have been here twice now- the first time for a lunch with family, the second time for a get-together with friends on a Friday night. The first visit was decent enough. The restaurant was dead and the service so/so but everyone enjoyed their food. This place has good bruschetta for sure! The second time we had extremely terrible service..... More
