Since I was visiting friends, I took initiative in looking for new places to try. Luckily before getting to KC, I read a Travel & Leisure's article about the best breakfast in the nation, and Chez Elle was on the list. My friend and I arrived early enough before the line of people. We ordered the Fromage: Brie, bacon, pesto,... More

A recent Saturday morning outing found us in an out-of-the-way location at Chez Elle. The crepes were wonderful, the coffee delicious and the cocktails tasty. With a wide variety of both savory and sweet crepes there's something here for everyone. Enjoy!

Even after living in Kansas City in graduate school, I was relatively unfamiliar with this part of downtown. The neighborhood is adorable, the crepes (savory please) were delicious, and the French press coffee was just what we needed before we got on the highway to home.

We recently stopped for dessert at Chez Elle follwoing a lunchtime meeting. Some newly remodeled elements and cozy atmosphere make this a fun place to have a leisurely coffee/tea and dessert. The chocolate crepe with chocolate mousse and creme anglaise and the "Patriote" (strawberries, blueberries, bananas, creme anglaise) are a must try. Attention: the crepes are BIG! Might want to... The coffee is good. My daughter loved her sweet crepe. My wife's quiche was nothing like a normal quiche. It was not at all "eggy," and was advertised as cheese, provolone cheese, and carrot. There was one dried thin slice of tomato on top, and it contained what appeared to be ground spinach throughout. It was very garlicky, as well.... More

This little creperie, at 17th Street & Summit, will make you feel like you are back in Paris, France – Not Kansas City, Missouri !! They have better crepes than we had in Normandy or Paris ! And their soups are wonderful. Be Prepared – their crepes are large, excellent, and filling. We had the soup of the day (a... More

I've already reviewed this place and like the crepes - it's the only place in KC to get one that I know of and they are good. But the reason I am writing another review is because when I went back for another visit, I had a coconut macaroon. The clouds parted and the heavens started to sing. Oh my.... More
