We went there for brunch on a Sunday. The food and service were amazing! Try the fried chicken - you will not be disappointed! And save room for dessert. The peach cobbler was well worth it.

Greatest soul food you can get at a restaurant. Hard to decide what to order but can't go wrong with chicken and waffle combo. Desserts are homemade and very good. Servers do a great job serving it all up with a smile. Biggest chicken wings I have ever seen. The prices are unbelievably low for the portion sizes. Daily specials.

Chicken and waffles were fantastic. The chicken was lightly seasoned with salt and pepper, but flavorful. The waffle came with cinnamon butter and was cooked to a perfect, crispy brown. Also, chicken fried steak with homemade biscuits were fantastic. The food was amazing but the service was even better. Thanks to the staff for making it an enjoyable experience!

I ordered the baked chicken dinner with greens, sweet potatoes and a additional side of mac and cheese. Then I saw the peach cobbler so you knew I had to have that. The baked chicken and dressing was nice. The corn bread muffin had no flavor. Sweet potatoes had too much butter and the mac and cheese was not southern... More

Although Niecie's Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, it shines with its pancakes, probably the best in the Kansas City area. They can be ordered all day. A family restaurant, other good choices are smothered pork chops and catfish. Service varies from rather quick and attentive to unorganized . Large booths are available. The restaurant closes at 5pm some week... More

If you want to try some traditional soul food go to Niecies. The food was very good and the service was good considering they were so busy..

I've been to the Troost location several times for breakfast and lunch. Great comfort food that comes out fairly quickly. The people that work there are always extremely friendly, which makes it that much more enjoyable.

WOW were we impressed! We found this place via the internet and decided to take a chance and are we glad we did! (We drove 15 minutes out of our way to get there) The fried chicken was incredible and the sides were just as good!! It was served hot! We loved the homemade rolls and the corn muffins!! For... More

It's hard to describe how amazing this dish was...3 pieces of crispy, juicy, well spiced fried chicken next to a large waffle. For breakfast it was a true relevation. Added to the very friendly service, above average diner coffee, reasonable prices and casual atmosphere, Niecie's is a gem of a place for breakfast, and I'll be sure to return next... More

Great whole fried catfish, black eyed peas, collard greens. My spouse loved the pork chops, he had one fried and one smothered in gravy. He also had the black eyed peas but had mashed potatoes instead. We also ordered the mac and cheese to try. Everything was delicious, including their cornbread, while drier than some it was really good with... More
