Quirky in a Good Way

Fortunately, we arrived early enough to be seated without a wait. As we left, there were people waiting on the sidewalk for a table. Inside, things are quirky. I came here for lunch recently with my family. The service was good and the atmosphere fine. I had the bananatella French Toast which had very little batter. It was as if they had almost not battered the bread. So it was more like eating a banana and Nutella sandwich with syrup. Two of my kids had pancakes which they... More

I can believe I have never reviewed this place. It is my all-time favorite place for breakfast. Everything I have ever had is good and the coffee is too. You will have to wait, but grab a latte and enjoy.

It's in a cute neighborhood lined with adorable houses and upon entering thought we had picked a winner. The place was pretty loaded at 10:30, on a Tuesday, but we were seated in about 5 mins. The coffee options sounded fun and the benedicts caught my eye. I ordered a Mexican spiced mocha and the benedict florentine. The hubs had... More

This is one of the best breakfast's you'll have on your trip to Kansas City. Good home cooked breakfast. Great Breads. Great Omelette. Great Gravy with Biscuits. We had 3 small children. Wasn't a problem. A party of 6 had to wait about 10 minutes. Not bad at all. It is well worth the wait!

Nice comfortable breakfast spot. Food is good and the service is cheerful. A nice place for a small group of people to meet at breakfast time.

This is good diner quality food. But there are thousands of others just as good. It is certainly above Denny's and Cracker Barrel, but you expect it to be. My omelet was fine, but did not wow me. Breakfast for three with tip $38.

I'm a KC native and this is my second time eating here. One of the best places in KC for breakfast/brunch. The food is great and around the same price as a chain breakfast place. The biscuits and chorizo gravy are wonderful! Always get the breakfast potatoes, they have no need for ketchup. The service is ok, I had the... More

We stopped in for breakfast before heading over to a Royals game. We got there about 9:30 in the morning and had to wait to about 30 minutes to get in. It was well worth the wait. Despite being seated right next to a group of 18 that had just sat down our server was able to get us our... More
