Best fish in the city

I love this place - staff are efficient and helpful, but lets face it, the reason you go here is for the fish, oh and maybe the Sunday Brunch which is amazing.

We walked in at 4:30 on a Saturday night. Since we did not have reservations, we sat at a high top table in the bar area. The place was completely packed by 5 PM. We both started with an appetizer. My husband had the Shrimp Cocktail. The shrimp were appropriately chilled and firm as they should be. The sauces were... More

I travel to Kansas City frequently for business and try to schedule a lunch or dinner with my clients at Bristol almost every time I'm there. This place is fantastic. For lunch, the Fish Tacos are excellent. They are blackened mahi with mango and avocado and some other delciousness. For dinner, the King Salmon is great. Very fresh and excellent... More

Ordered a Moscow mule and had to post my ID because customers steal the copper mugs. Will check to see if I got ripped off by ID... More

First let me say I very much appreciated my bday meal...when someone celebrates you it's an honor...and people don't have to be nice so I was very grateful, for that alone I wasn't going to write a review..but after receiving an email to do so I did...I had a $25 coupon there was only one entree for that so I... We met relatives there whom we had not seen in a number of years and they seated the six of us in a nice quiet little room which was perfect for our get together. Four of us ordered the Lobster Rolls off the Appetizer list and they were better than any rolls which we had eated recently from a trip... More

Visiting with friends we haven't seen in over a decade in one of KCMO's finer establishments. Catching up over several years, we enjoyed the food and wine. I particularly liked my seared scallops. It was Sat nite and the place was packed. Friendly staff. Great location in the Power & Light District -- ground zero for this city's fantastic nightlife.... More

We went to the Bristol for happy hour after our Sunday afternoon matinee. The website and a large sign on the side walk outside advertised Happy Hour 4-7 pm. " No happy hour!" insisted the waitress. "Not on Sunday". It was cold and nasty outside,so we decided to stay. We ordered salmon flat bread. She left for 15 minutes..."Sorry, no... More

We had an excellent server but the food just underwhelmed us. Four people for dinner , no drinks , one of us had soup and salad (lobster bisque w tiny, microscopic pieces of lobster ?) another fish and chips and the bill was over 150.00.( We even had a coupon for 25.00 a birthday dinner.) bleh

We came to the Bristol Seafood Grill for dinner before attending a musical at the Music Hall. We arrived at 5:30pm on Thursday night which was fortunate because the restaurant was full by 6:00pm. If we were dining later or on weekend evenings, then I recommend reservations. You can place your reservation online at the Bristol website. We were delighted... More
