One of KC's best restaurants, Pierpont's is especially good for steak. It's dark and cozy inside, and its location inside Union Station adds a coolness factor. This is a good place for special occasions. I would have given it a higher rating if the waitress had not asked us to leave because we'd been there a couple of hours (ordering... More

We had a wonderful time at pierpont's restaurant in the train station. We both ordered steaks and it was phenomenal. After our delicious meal we wondered around the train station and looked at the artifacts. It was both a romantic and exciting date. I would highly recommend the steaks and the wine list is quite extensive. Go, eat and ENJOY!... More

This is a lovely restaurant in a restored train station, with a nice variety of dishes and a good wine selection by the glass. On a Sunday evening the restaurant was nearly empty but service was quite slow, so be careful if you're in a hurry.

We'd had the tasting menu at Pierpont's several years ago, and remembered it fondly when we were in Kansas City last week. We both chose the 4-item menu, and I added the wine selection. Everything was excellent, and the portions more than adequate. Service was impeccable, food presentation attractive, and the meals were delicious. We will certainly consider Pierpont's if... More

My husband and I were in KC for a long weekend and wanted a nice steak dinner (KC Strips, right?!). We didn't want to go to a chain restaurant and he found Pierpont through a few Google searches and away we went! The restaurant was VERY quiet and empty for a Sunday, but we enjoyed the peace and ambiance. The... More

We went there with our three young children to celebrate my husband's birthday. The staff treated my children with respect, and as a result we had a great time. The menu for adults and kids is great, and the food is amazing. Even the kids menu items are freshly made. We felt welcome and will definitely take our family back.

This restaurant is a business travelers delight. It has 2 levels. The bar is a good size and it is in a pub area. Dining is more formal. Union station is incredible. I love these old stately places. The food was ok. Nothing to rave about. You can find this food at many places including room service at the hotel.... More

We brought friends to the King Tut exhibit (fabulous, by the way) and ended the day with reservations at Pierpont's. Our friends can't stop talking about the ambiance and the FOOD! We all ordered something different and had fun sharing our entrees. Tip - if you want a steak (any cut), they have the best - pure magic!

You can almost see all the lady's and gentlemen hurrying through Union Station dressed in their best traveling clothes back in the 1940s. The atmosphere in this restaurant is as wonderful as the food. For a special occasion ask to have your group seated in the original Ladies Waiting Room. Nothing on their menu is a bad choice. Every meal... More

The atmosphere is beautiful and the food divine! Waitress was a little goofy but that did not stop my utter enjoyment. I got the short ribs and holy moly they were good. We ate last night and I'm still thinking about them today.
