Very good food in an old fashioned downtown restaurant

This is an old-fashioned type of place in the heart of downtown Joplin. The food was very good. We both ordered potato cream soup and a side salad. They were both excellent. The cheesecake was also very good.

We went to the restaurant close to closing time. I was worried about what usually happens when you go to a place when they are trying to clean up and get home. I shouldn't have worried! The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. We had three appetizer; stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta and smoked chicken nachos and some wine. The... More

it's in the old downtown area so there are a lot of closed building and vacant lots. Wade through all of that and visit this awesome place. It was great. Ambiance was good for a small or large group. The food was great. There were 6 people in our group and no one had a bad word to say about... More

This place is very, very popular and you must have a reservation. However, I can't figure out why. The food is okay, the service is okay, the dining rm is loud. There are much better places in Joplin, they just don't have enough reviewers raving about them.

Came here on a weekday evening because of a recommendation. The wait was not long at all. I ordered the Downtown Grilled Chicken and it was good. I would dine here again.

Very nice surprise on our last leg of a cross country trip. Pleasant wait staff & excellent appetizers, soups & entrees. The Hank's cheesecake was a perfect ending to a great meal. When we are in Joplin, will definitely stop here

What a fun place to go to. Food is very good and to our tastes. My wife and I both had great dinners and the service was very good. We really enjoyed ourselves. It is a busy place and it is worth the wait if you have one.

Great food and service. Wife's favorite place to eat. Usually go there for special date night dinners.
