We wanted to do a picnic lunch at the beach near the cemetary and Ruebens totally hooked us up with a full on picnic basket. It was delicious, fresh breads and homemde salads, a great way to have a picnic on the beach.

This was an amazing place, fresh breads and salads. Nice people, very clean and a good atmosphere. I do not have a single bad thing to say.

We liked to going here for their great sandwiches and fries. Honestly, the best fast food style fries ever! Sandwiches are huge and fresh and delicious. Staff is super friendly and decor is really comfy. Now, I know eating American food in Mexico is a bit of a faux pas. But I eat Mexican food in The States all the... More

Stopped in for a sandwhich at Rubens Deli and it was the best Sandwhich I have ever had. The bread was so delicious and soft, I am still thinking about it. Totally recommend!

I had a Turkey Melt with bacon and avocado...it was by far the best sandwich I have ever eaten in Mexico! My mom had the Patty Melt, and hated it...said the burger patty tasted and looked like it was store bought frozen. :( But two thumbs way up for the turkey melt!

Either going to the beach, panga boat ride or catching your plane, Rubens has the lunch for you! My girlfriend and I loved the turkey melt sandwich. Fresh veggies, great size and a special sauce to top it off with a finishing touch that Ruben personally prepared. Plus good side dishes to accompany your meal! Highly recommend you swing by... More

Conveniently located near the beach and a great option if you need a sandwich, burger or salad. Loved the fries. The kids needed a pick me up after hours of surf and sun. It was perfect and got us through the afternoon. A fun change, as we ate Mexican food for every other meal. Service was great and fast. Bathroom... More

I used to live in Sayulita, and the thing I miss most—after surfing in warm water in trunks—is an after-surf lunch at Rubens. The burgers are the best, the thai past salad is fantastic and everything is always fresh! Ruben and his wife Monica are the kind of restaurant owners you hope to encounter. They care about every aspect of... More

I experienced Rueben's food while on a catamaran day cruise. Rueben's provides the tour with individual lunches for the passengers. Maybe because I was an American in Mexico, and Ruben's was rated very high here I had higher expectations than what I tasted. But then again the food was pre-made the excursion. The 4 people in my party were disappointed... More

Sometimes when you've spent a week or more in Mexico you start craving standard American food. Ruben's in one place in Sayulita which will satisfy that need. Located just off the plaza Ruben's offers a good selection of hamburgers and sandwiches recognizable to most gringos. Seating is on the sidewalk or on an elevated bar looking back on the town...
