Because of location and ability to order from your lounge chair on the beach, this place gets a lot of patronage. In all, the service is lacking. Dogs roam the kitchen and dining area at will. Margaritas are huge but not well made. Doesn't feel welcoming or relaxing. Husband had octopus dish which was not good. Super rubbery. If you... More

Have had numerous meals at Capitan Cook's and each one was more wonderful than the previous one! You really should enjoy at least one meal (per day) at this restaurant!

Fantastic grilled red snapper by the kilo. On the beach with great service, these guys will keep your bucket of beer full. Or, sit inside (open air) with a full size table with lots of elbow room.

We go here every afternoon for lunch. My favourite is the prawn ceviche...so delicious and served with crisp tacos. We might have a cold corona with lime, or a margarita. We love the service, and the waiters take good care of us. Some people are put off by the vendors but oh well, it is mexico, the beach, and people... More

Lovely seafood, great staff and good value. Second visit for us and still great. There is nothing like watching the kids surf while drinking Margaritas and eating fish that was just caught...

Visited Sayulita Saturday, March 30th. Alberto not only reserved us a front row spot (prime real estate) on the beach but was attentive and took amazing care of us especially considering it was the day before Easer and the beach was a wave of people. Thank you Alberto, can't wait to visit again!!!

My husband and I went to Sayulita on March 23, 2013 for a day trip and to have lunch at Captain Cooks. A friendly waiter found a wonderful spot to sit and enjoy the surfers and action on the beach. This waiter was Ernesto. We could not have asked for better service. He was exceptional! The lunch we had was... More

My family and I just dined at Captain Cooks, and I have to say, after all the other rave reviews, I was a little disappointed in the food. The setting is lovely and the servers were all very attentive. They were all out of their house specialty, the red snapper, unless you wanted to buy the entire 4 pound fish.... More

A beautiful ocean side venue with chairs, tables and umbrella's and an awesome view. A nice delicious assortment of mexican food and margarita's that tastes even better when enjoying with the sand between your toes. Our server Ernesto was very friendly and efficient. Thank you Ernesto for a very nice afternoon treat.

Whether you want to enjoy a margarita at sunset or a great dinner, can't beat Captain Cook's. Great menu and the servers are way friendly. We did eat the most expensive meal for two on the menu, but worth it compared to what we'd pay at home to have it. Lots of less-expensive options on the menu. A must in... More
