We really liked this restaurant, it's the first one we went too in this town and had a lovely dinner, for a more or less reasonable price. If its chilly (Salema is windy at night) they offer you blankets. I recommend the fish soup, the vodka orange and the chocolate mousse.

It was my first visit last night. Thus is an odd place, very busy with a fish based menu. I had seafood rice which was gorgeous and very we'll cooked however the portion for two I shared I noticed wasn't much bigger than other diners single portion.this was frustrating as I was still hungry afterwards. The waitress was also extremely... More

Amazing quality food coupled with reasonable prices and sometimes friendly but quirky service. The wild boar and the fish stew were devine. I've also heard the duck and rice is amazing. Only downside is it's size means you have to book early to get in.

Mira Mar is all about the food and the location. If you want a relaxed environment with original dishes that are bursting with flavour, then this is the right place. If you want attentive penguins, silverware and Art Deco food presentation - you are probably better of elsewhere. The fish stew is simply fantastic - a must for coriander fans.... More

Heard good reviews about this. Little disappointed by the service and the food. Seeing the chef smoking in the kitchen was not a great start. However it has a great outlook for the beach and the sea. Sorry but there are better options in Salema.

Took the family of four here for an evening meal. Very busy, generally a good sign, and we were promptly seated on the ground level. One round of drinks, which were never collected until we left, and a long wait for food left us a tad disappointed. A lack of service, perhaps due to the laid back nature of the... More

This was our favourite restaurant in Salema. It's not fancy but the food is fantastic. Highly recommended are the fish stew and the seafood rice - both bursting with flavour. The pasta specials were also excellent - good value, simple but so tasty. The house wine was great and service good. It's on the beach so has a lovely view... More

This lovely little restaurant is one of our favourites and always our choice early in our holiday. We returned again another two times. Fairly small menu but all delicious particularly the vegetable soup, house prawns and chocolate mousse! Blankets are a welcome addition this year for any slightly colder nights. I can highly recommend it.

We'd have eaten here every night if we could have. We were spoiled for choice with the menu and they also have Specials on the blackboard which change each night. Closed on Saturdays.

Mira Mar's location on the beach-front could not be more idyllic and charming. We stopped by in the late afternoon, unaware that the kitchen would not open for a couple of hours. We opted for the tapas plate, as that was the only food option available. Unfortunately, it had the appearance of being a selection of left-overs, with a wide... More
