This is an excellent place to lunch in Salema. The food is very varied and well presented with large blackboards of specials - written in 3 languages. Neat rows of tables with gingham tablecloths and just a lovely venue to enjoy the beautiful views across the beach and sea beyond. The staff are friendly and helpful and a reservation for... More

We have been going here for 8 years now and even though we now holiday in Tavira we still make our annual visit. My favourite is the house style prawns and my husband loves the clams and spaghetti. The staff are very friendly.

Fiery staff, oceans of blue and delicious food. Charming. Annual stay nearby and this is the hotel we always look forward to most. Very small and not always accommodating - but we love it anyway.

The best restaurant in the area with wonderful views, friendly and helpful staff and the chef is superb, only fresh food and plenty of variety all cooked to perfection using the herbs in all the pots around the terrace. Never had a bad meal or experience at this wonderful restaurant and just wish it was open in the winter as... More

We ate at many restaurants in Salema, and this one was my favorite. I ordered one of the specials from the daily menu (grilled chicken kebob, I believe) and it was delicious. Large portions of food, and a good helping of veggies on the side. My husband got the seafood linguini (another daily special, I believe) and enjoyed it as... More

I went with my girl friend to this restaurant and it was a very nice experience. Food is delicious, wine as well and prices are very correct. On top of this the view is amazing. Highly recomend !

We really liked this restaurant, it's the first one we went too in this town and had a lovely dinner, for a more or less reasonable price. If its chilly (Salema is windy at night) they offer you blankets. I recommend the fish soup, the vodka orange and the chocolate mousse.

It was my first visit last night. Thus is an odd place, very busy with a fish based menu. I had seafood rice which was gorgeous and very we'll cooked however the portion for two I shared I noticed wasn't much bigger than other diners single portion.this was frustrating as I was still hungry afterwards. The waitress was also extremely... More

Amazing quality food coupled with reasonable prices and sometimes friendly but quirky service. The wild boar and the fish stew were devine. I've also heard the duck and rice is amazing. Only downside is it's size means you have to book early to get in.

Mira Mar is all about the food and the location. If you want a relaxed environment with original dishes that are bursting with flavour, then this is the right place. If you want attentive penguins, silverware and Art Deco food presentation - you are probably better of elsewhere. The fish stew is simply fantastic - a must for coriander fans.... More
