Excellent Dinner !

Had the best meal we have ever eaten in Boia Bar tonight! Maybe it was because we were early (7pm) or maybe they have upped their game since the last times we visited because tonight the food and service was superb ! And of course you have that fantastic view...

We ate here twice, with 2 teenage boys,in our recent 2week stay in the area. A lot has changed since we first dined at the Boia Bar in 1994 however the excellent menu, great choice of fresh fish and friendly service are still the same. If you get a table overlooking the beach watching the sun go down is just to... More

Pre booked table for 4 adults and 2 young children and we had a wonderful evening, with an excellent range of menu options and freshly cooked dishes. This is a popular and busy restaurant right in the middle of a fairly lively fishing village, the staff work extremely hard to look after their diners, ensuring orders are taken promptly and... My title says it all: I was a tourist on travel with my girlfriend wearing a t-shirt "Cabo de Sao Vicente" (to the black haired woman who served us: I hope you remember my face when you read this review). I asked for 2 (bad tasting) coffees with a bit of cold milk: all over Portugal coffee hardly costs more... More

There were 12 of us eating - 7 adults, 5 kids - the waiters were very accommodating and friendly especially with out rowdy children! The location is perfect overlooking Salema beach, allowing the kids to run off after dinner early and play on the beach without too much worry about where they are. And most importantly the food was delicious... More

This is a very nice restaurant just by the beach. We had chicken piri piri which was nice and not too spicy. Hungarian goulash was tasty. Grilled sardines were excellent and the shrimp bioa was also very good. Friendly and quick service. Perhaps a little more expensive than the average but worth it.

Was recommended by the Hotel manager , but really it was over valued for the portions and service offered. The fresh Tuna steaks we ordered were tasty but left a lot to the imagination. Certainly a tourist trap for it's position in front of the beach ,but certainly won't repeat

Great food! Great service! A perfectly timed meal and super delicious! You must have reservations to sit on the porch overlooking the ocean view! Loved it! I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Delightful open room looking out onto Salema beach and the beautiful sea. Watch the fishermen going through their nets. The waiters are all very pleasant and long serving. My boys have enjoyed going there for years and the menu has always had something for them. Personally I like to have fresh fish there. It is a particularly good place to... More

Called in on the off chance of getting a table at 7pm for a Thursday family dinner for 3 and we lucky as soon after we sat down the restaurant filled up. We had fish for starters and main course and it was all so fresh and reasonably priced with good friendly service. Would recommend - we have booked our... More
