Boia is located in the middle of Salema, directly at the beach. They serve local dishes as well as more international food. For vegetarians there is not much choice, but for fish lovers it is a good spot.

Every year we arrive in Salema we head straight to the Boia Bar for lunch. Piri Piri chicken and fresh sardines are favourites, and are washed down by beers / sangria. The holiday always has a great start!!! We also use the bar for daytime drinks before the nights out, and enjoy some evening meals there too. Basically, it is... More

We would probably not have gone to this restaurant if our friends had not asked us to book it. The menu does not look very interesting. I am however glad that we went because the food was great and the menu almost irrelevant as the waiter explained the local fresh fish available that day and how it could be prepared.... More

We had a couple of meals here on our last visit in July 2014, the food as ever was fabulous, particularly the fish. The staff are always very friendly & helpful but if you would like to sit overlooking the beach in the summer you really need to book in advance!

Fish is so spanking fresh at this wonderful little Algarve treasure, that you can watch the fishermen haul their nets onto the sand from a table on the terrace overlooking the sea. Order a cold bottle of vinho verde, the young, fruity and slightly sparkling white wine of the region, then order your fish. There will be a choice of... More

Went for lunch and had one of the best meals, the dish of the day was fish stew which was gorgeous. The house wine is very very good. We will be back very soon.

What's not to like . Prices are good considering the location, best in Salema...service could be quicker sometimes, but always very friendly.

Whilst staying in Lagos we visited the beach at Salema on two occasions. Each time we had lunch in this restaurant. Unfortunately my sardines were not as good second time around, felt they were a little undercooked. However, my wife was happy with her sandwiches each time. Pleasant staff albeit looking somewhat tired as season comes to an end, service quite quick... More

We were in Salema and me and my wife asked for a table without reservation made and they found us a table. Food - I had pork fillet in a mushroom and brandy sauce and my wife had beef stroganoff. The first mouthful was good no in fact great however every further morsel became quite sickly as the brandy wasn't... More
